  1. MM’s career pivoted at Brandon Bostic. They win that game and people’s viewpoint changes on him.
  2. Man, I think Josh Harrison is going to be a turd. I can't believe I'm saying this but I think I would rather either sign Moustakas and play Shaw there or just let the Perez/Spangenberg duo take it.
  3. Panik and Will Smith interest me more than giving up what SF wants for MadBum.
  4. This team was going to be competitive with or without Grandal. They were within one game of the WS with Erik Kratz getting the majority of the starts! I don't think you sign a top catcher to an $18+ million 1-year deal without shooting for the moon. That's why I don't think they are done making big moves too. I don't think it has to be an "all-in" year by just grabbing Grandal. It just helps put you in a position to compete for the Central again this year and see how the season plays out. Maybe those big moves come in July when this team proves it is a winner again.
  5. Can't think of a team that has had two elite WR's and won an SB in recent history. I mean, even the top WR's in the game never seems to be in the winner's circle at the end of the day. Maybe there is something to that.
  6. Could we be in on Joe Panik? He is rumored to be discussed with several teams. It was reported we are in on MadBum so maybe it is for both of them?
  7. Yep. It takes a strong foundation to withstand some personalities such as a guy like Brown. I don't believe now is the time. And with a young, first time, rookie head coach? Hard, hard pass.
  8. Pina is a perfect backup catcher. He doesn't possess the stamina to catch enough games at the level needed to be a true starter. He should do awesome in his new role this season. The black hole should be lifted and gone.
  9. Logjams at all positions please. Keep adding depth everywhere.
  10. Yeah, the start of the season is going to be a bloodbath. The breakdown of games per opponent over that stretch to start the season (opponents from start of the season through May 26th): vs. Cardinals (10 games) vs. Reds (5 games) vs. Cubs (6 games) vs. Angels (3 games) vs. Dodgers (7 games) vs. Mets (6 games) vs. Rockies (4 games) vs. Nationals (3 games) vs. Phillies (7 games) vs. Braves (3 games) The good thing is if you get through that stretch of games above .500 or even at .500, it should play well for your chances during the rest of the season.
  11. Now we can trace Grandal for Realmuto.
  12. Those expecting a big finale after this move might be disappointed. Not saying for sure that other big moves won’t happen but we have to be right at the end of our beginning of the season budget. Hopefully we can get someone to take Thames to free up space but there can’t be much room now.
  13. Brewers just got a lot better. Pina to the backup role is huge too.
  14. No, it's not. This is a bad comparison. Woodruff(25) is an up and comer, and former top prospect, that just gave us a great last part to his season that helped bring us within a game of a World Series. He is controlled for another five years as cheap as they come. These are the types of pitchers that the Brewers should/must take chances on being studs or what are we exactly doing here? We don't have the resources to shovel off arms like that for one year of what could be a disaster trade. It just simply makes no sense.
  15. They want one of our three pitchers? Lol, Stearns isn’t a moron so I’ll rest easy on this one.
  16. Yeah, sometimes things are taken too far... I don't like Brian Dozier... How dare I... Chemistry matters. If you sign a stick in the mud like Dozier it could be a bad mix in that clubhouse considering how loose the brewers like to be.
  17. This is a scary one for me. I don't believe in MadBum much anymore. He is a product of a ridiculous pitchers park, has thrown too many innings, and has had injury concerns as of late. Giving up much for him is a concern for me because I don't even think he'll be our "ace" if we trade for him. But he is 28, in a contract year, and has had a crazy amount of success over his career so I guess you never know. But be careful, this is where a known name can trick you.
  18. Well I guess that settles it. I know. I just hope Yelich and Cain can keep up.
  19. Glad Harbaugh isn’t our guy. Who the hell starts Lamar Jackson over Flacco.
  20. He's only cracked 135 once since 2012 and hasn't hit 145 since then. Why do you think he will hold up that well and stay that healthy this season? Because Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, and big foot all really exist. Just gotta believe!
  21. Braun probably plays 145 games this year so no real reason for a fifth outfielder.
  22. This post could not have been better. It’s where I am with it also.
  23. Stearns loves roster flexibility and players who don’t strikeout all the time. I don’t think these moves are shocking in the least. They’ll find OF depth. Already acquired Gamel, doubt he is done.
