  1. Man, why does this forum allow one poster to hijack game threads? Mind boggling a bit why a mod can’t nip this crap so it’s not so obnoxious.
  2. Crazy as I remember in the 90’s we would basically get our one mandatory guy.
  3. Trading relief arms is different than starters.
  4. The thought behind the trade is that we will not be able to resign both Woodruff and Burnes, moving one of them at peak value this offseason would allow you to acquire a premier bat and fill a massive hole in the lineup while still having the ability to sign a free agent pitcher. Stearns has continuously stated, acquire and develop young controllable talent. The other part however is to retain said talent. I would obviously rather keep Burnes but It's no different then you all speculating moving Hader for literally 100 pages over the last 3 years.. it's fun and not serious. Then trade him for more pitching if that’s what you’re worried about. But I would focus on winning while we have these arms. It may be our only window.
  5. I stand by my comment.
  6. I just don’t understand what this accomplishes? It makes us a worse overall team. Pitching wins. Yes, you need offense. But pitching in the end wins. We finally have it. We are winning. And now we trade it away? Sorry, no.
  7. You couldn't have just said, "I disagree and think Mitchell's stock is much higher than it was in preseason, and is worth more now than any rental the Cubs could provide?" Uhh… no. How else would he make a point? Have some self-awareness adam. Jeez.
  8. Molina selected over Narvaez? That’s some ********.
  9. That’s crazy. That’s like something out of a movie scene. So glad we’ve had such awesome talents working in our front office. These last few years have been so enjoyable because of it.
  10. Oh look, more unfounded drama you’re trying to stir up based on absolutely nothing but your feelings. Not one shred of any sort of evidence. At this point you should be removed for trolling. It’s that ridiculous.
  11. Vs. LHP: 216/.318/.387/.705 Vs. RHP: .221/.310/.381/.690
  12. There would be something comical about us winning the first two games of this series after all the worries of Counsell not lining up his staff to take down the big bad Reds. Not sure why it would be comical. Good pitching matchups don't guarantee wins and bad matchups don't guarantee losses, but some people would rather see the probabilities tilted in their favor when possible in important games against division rivals. Tonight's game is the worst pitching matchup of the series for the Brewers (note: this does not mean the Brewers can't or won't win). They have trouble against left handed pitchers as evidenced on Sunday when they were dazzled by the Pirates Tyler Anderson. And while starting Lauer doesn't guarantee a loss, he is pretty clearly the least effective of the Brewers six starters. He was roughed up early in his previous start against the Reds. The Brewers may also be a little short in the bullpen tonight with Houser not getting out of the 5th yesterday and Williams and Hader pitching each of the last two days. Using one start is never a good indicator or actually knowing what you’re talking about. The Brewers have been better offensively against left handed pitching this season according to their splits. And it would be comical, for me, to see Lauer pitch well enough for a win tonight after all the hoopla about the Reds and us going on this huge long losing streak.

  14. Give up Lauer as he now looks to be something useful in our rotation? No thanks. He’s a young lefty… patience.
  15. The last thing I’d want to do is help the Cubs rebuild by giving them anyone of value. That’d be terrible to give up more than they’re worth and then see it thrown in our faces for many years.
  16. Meh, them selling off is a good sign. That’s one less team to be concerned about. They’ve killed the “dynasty”. That’s one of Counsell and Stearns greatest accomplishments. They looked poised to be around awhile and the Brewers have had a heavy hand in destroying that.
  17. Craziest losing streak I’ve ever witnessed! 7-game lead!
  18. And as we continue to learn, each year is different. Each year, players struggle that we didn’t see coming and other succeed that we didn’t see coming.
  19. That is just hilarious. Lol Brewers win again?!? This is the craziest losing streak.
  20. Really hoping the Bucks can win at least one. Getting swept would be kinda sad.
