  1. Ask the Red Sox if they'd like current Travis Shaw in their line-up. Did Travis Shaw go through a transformation as a Brewer? I don’t think we really had much to do with his success. He’s been this hitter really all along. The Brewers trade away guys who don’t have a great track record as a Brewer and for some reason other hitting coaches “fix” them and they become good. Apples to oranges with this comparison.
  2. Seems like a common trend that another organization makes a change to a player we had and they become good.
  3. I don’t think you can collect 2,500 hits and not be that good.
  4. Just remind yourself that we are in a rebuild and that it wasn’t supposed to be this good right now anyways. Helps me from time to time.
  5. I wish we had a Kluber. Guerra did fine but how nice would a Kluber be?
  6. The Brewers are in 3rd place for batting average with RISP and two outs. Who woulda thunk it?!?
  7. Another play where if a guys even running 90% down the line he might’ve been safe.
  8. Segura might be out of the league had he stayed in Milwaukee. Sometimes change just has to occur.
  9. Just like we hammered the glut of OF/1B thing to death before the season (a lot of people saw Aguilar being cut), Thames coming back will work itself out as well.
  10. Philosophy? I think it's more that our starters can't make it deep into games, not that we don't want them to. Who wouldn't want a guy cruising through 7 innings per start, 1 inning of Hader, 1 Knebel? If you don’t think it’s part of their new philosophy, you haven’t been watching much. There have been plenty of opportunities to have our starter go farther in games and we don’t do it. Like Counsell has even said, they go into the game with an idea of how many outs they want to get out of a pitcher. We have seen our games get through 6ip and be at 80 pitches and still come out.
  11. Fixed. And I’m not a huge Hernan guy.
  12. You’d think Aguilar based on him being so cheap, controlled for like 5-6 years and only being 27.
  13. What does history have anything to do with this team, this year? I never understand that thinking. Only fans give a crap about history. These players surely don’t. The best team will rise to the top by years end. Plain and simple.
  14. Simple solution. Score more runs. Ridiculous to keep putting this on the pen each and every game.
  15. Yes! Thank you! Results please! If you don’t let data drive your decision making, you’re a fool in my book. The results usually end up coming because you relied on the data to drive your decision. Stearns seems keen on this approach. As does Counsell. That being said, Braun has taken me at bat today. What the hell are we talking about here?
  16. Why next year? Good bye Sogard.
  17. If Braun could stop lining into double plays, that’d be great.
  18. And Yelich throwing. So not impressed with his arm. Can see why he’s basically LF only.
