  1. Amazing that you guys are just figuring out that basketball is ruled by the top players. What do you expect to happen in a me-me-me type of a game? Tune into the NHL if you want something exciting and intriguing.
  2. Going to very important Stearns doesn’t hit the panic button as we hopefully continue to win games and trade away quality for rentals. What he’s built so far is great but I want sustained success. Not a one shot at it type of thing.
  3. I don’t care for him but I don’t think he’s wrong. Aguilar is not good defensively. Huh? I think he is just fine at 1st. smh That’s great that you do but numbers suggest he’s average at best.
  4. Things like this go a long ways in a marathon season. Leadership is good on this team and it’s showing.
  5. You can't delete your own posts? I thought you could. Anyone else have that issue? You can but after someone else posts after it, you cannot.
  6. Rock is right. These are not the plays that replay was designed for. So much time wasted with this crap.
  7. Braun has been on base 10 of his 16 plate appearances since his return. OPS up to .723 now too.
  8. Man, I love that oppo swing. OPS over .700 for Braun now. Keep er movin.
  9. And that’s our first Kanye reference. [sarcasm]Please let it be the last.[/sarcasm]
  10. He’s not terrible. Probably slightly below average defensively. Maybe him not scooping a very easy ball yesterday that led to four runs is too fresh in my mind. I also have the play he couldn’t bend over to his knee to catch a ball from Villar in my mind as well. Range, meh. He gets what’s in front of him.
  11. Per TomH Two things, again it is great to see Braun continuously putting team first in his mindset. Can’t knock him on that. The other is that it does seem silly that Counsell would have to approach him even though I get it’s probably more so out of respect.
  12. I don’t care for him but I don’t think he’s wrong. Aguilar is not good defensively. Not only hasn't he been laugh out loud bad, he's been pretty darn good. Don't know what you're looking at. Offensively, of course. Defensively, sorry do not agree.
  13. I don’t care for him but I don’t think he’s wrong. Aguilar is not good defensively.
  14. I just hope we hold on trying to upgrade 2B until late July. Villar may or may not be the guy but it should be very clear by then what he is, given that Counsell actually keeps playing him. He’s actually made some really nice plays at 2B as of late and I can’t recall a base running blunder lately either. I’m sure now that I mention both, they’ll happen but it’s been good to see.
  15. Stay away from long losing streaks everything will be just fine.
  16. Yep, ride out Aguilar as long as we can. If/when he comes back to earth, adjustments can be made.
  17. What has Suter done of late that warrants this post? I’m not a huge Suter SP fan but he’s done his job.
  18. He’s still killing left handed (1.106) pitching and his split against RHP (.772)is getting better. Not great but better.
  19. Imagine if he didn’t hit [sarcasm]22[/sarcasm] home runs against us.
  20. It’s been thrown around a bit in game threads but do we trade from our OF/1B depth? Here’s a little breakdown of possibilities: 1. Braun- probably not going to be able to trade. I’ll just move on. 2. Santana- defense has improved a bit and offense is beginning to come around. Could we get a better return now than this past winter? 3. Aguilar- he’s as hot as he may ever be. Do we attempt to find an AL team that wants this slugger? It’d be great to capitalize on this hot streak but would suck if this is really the “new” Jesús. He’s probably better suited for a DH spot with occasional 1B play. 4. Thames- being a left handed power bat it’d be hard to part with but he may also be better suited for the AL as his body is iffy moving forward. Problem is he would probably need to come back and hit right away to build up some trade value. Or do we just stand pat and continue to use this depth to our advantage? I mean it always seems like we are starting a good lineup with any of this mixture.
