  1. And during his time with Holmgren, many... many mistakes were made. Mental and physical. Never once pulled or not started in all those years. Annnnnnd Holmgren was never fired. What's your damn point?!? My god. Well you clearly don't get the point. Mistakes are not the issue. Baseball is full of many more mistakes than any other sport. The point is learning from them and improving. The point is not tolerating mistakes and working hard to not repeat them. The Brewer do not do that, they continue to repeat over and over. When there is a big spot, they try to hit HRs and chase pitches outside of the zone. Over, and over, and over. Shaw wasn't thinking on the field, it happens. I am just speculating, but I assume CC did not use that as teachable moment to get the team to focus on this game. He is not going to try to do or say anything to improve, just shrug his shoulders and say o well that happens. That's all that I needed to see. You don't know. You actually have no clue. So calling for a managers head is reactionary to the play and very silly.
  2. Can we go one game thread without posts like this? lol give me a break.

  4. Perez came in before that inning on the double switch. He's been out in RF for Santana. Which, makes no sense to me. Counsell acts as if all his players are equal.
  5. We can fire him after the season if we can find someone who isn't scared to win. Stop. You're embarrassing yourself. Have a beer and relax a bit.
  6. Annnnd St. Louis takes the lead in the 9th. I hate them so much.
  7. Hader is just so fun to watch. Maybe the Nelson injury is a blessing because it should force them to put him the rotation. At least that's how I'll try to spin it.
  8. That double hopefully gets the monkey off the back and he'll get hot. Or, he won't.
  9. Here we go again. Please win Pirates. Brewers fans shouldn't have to stomach the Cardinals passing them in the standings.
  10. I'm getting to the point where I wouldn't mind Stearns figuring out the market on him. Hopefully someone buys his first half and not his second.
  11. I just never understand these comments or thinking. Like, it's baseball man. The best team doesn't always win. It happens a lot actually that the right mix of guys win. Are the Cubs more talented? Probably. But to just disregard what the Brewers players have been doing all year is crazy. This team was a play or two away from winning the last two games and being right there to possibly knock off the Cubs. Now they will have to win the next three to have a chance but still, with 10 games to play and they had every opportunity to do it. Having low expectations leads to low results. I'm glad the Brewers players don't think that way or we'd probably have 90 losses at this point.
  12. Santana's AB is the kind of ABs you get when your offense depends on the home run to score 90% of your runs. OK it's more like 48% but the point is still valid. http://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2017/08/25/brewers-struggles-runners-scoring-position-makes-them-vulnerable-when-hrs-vanish/597754001/ I think you can have an offense that relies on a homer but also understands how to take a different approach in situations like last night. Santana is young, hopefully he learns. About all we can hope for there but if I were him it would've been hard to get to sleep last night.
  13. I'm truly stating to feel that this team will finish 3rd in the division.
  14. Just pitch Perez and put Drake at first. What a joke.
  15. One day too soon. If the Brewers win the remaining three games they are still in it. Chances of that happening probably aren't great but there is still that possibility.
  16. People will bite my head off but Garza should be used before Drake and Torres are even thought of.
  17. This is a little over the top. Yeah it was a really bad and untimely misplay but it's not like it was a routine flyball that he just dropped. Honestly think Perez would have even gotten there? Yes.
  18. Lol wow. Absolutely ridiculous. It's at bats like that, that make me indifferent to this team.
  19. Was Thames going to make JJ run faster to 1B for the cover? It wasn't the first basemens ball to get.
  20. Agreed here. Didn't go with his best defense to close it out and we'll most likely pay for it now.
