  1. Five run lead so we better walk a couple of batters to help them out more.
  2. I don't know why you keep saying this, no one is getting worked up. I literally just started our by politely explaining why I disagree with that perspective. Yeah I didn't have an issue with how you responded. More of a generalization. Any time someone makes a remark against Stearns there seems to be 10 back at the person.
  3. Yep. We just can't accept that both Thames and Aguilar have their warts but also are good ball players that have their streaks. Thames is OPS'ing mid .800's during his last month of play but yeah, let's just put him to the pasture.
  4. What do you suggest CC do to cover 4 innings today? He can only use what is given to him. Take your beef up with Stearns who orchestrated this mess. I don't really follow this line of thinking either. He signed Feliz, didn't work out. Brought up Hader for the pen. Traded for Webb, hasn't worked out, but also traded for Swarzak and that has. Based on last year I'm sure they expected more from Torres. Guys just haven't produced but it hasn't been from a lack of trying to fix the pen. Yeah you can make the argument that they needed 2 guys and should have pursued Neshek, and that I can understand, but it doesn't always work out as hoped. Justin Wilson has been a train wreck for the Cubs so far. I don't hear many saying we missed the boat on him lately. I'll make sure to send Stearns his participation trophy after the year lol I'm kidding, sort of. It's not that they haven't tried doing more it's that guys like Torres/Drake are even still on this team when there were options to be had (Neshek) that could have helped propel this team to the playoffs. It's okay to see the things Stearns hasn't done great on as well as all the awesome moves he has made. Everyone really needs to chill when discussing him.
  5. Another smoked ball by Braun at someone. Crazy type of year for him.
  6. ...it's not the 7th. Barnes is in, right now, in the 6th.

  8. Neshek was there to be had. I don't hate on Barnes like a lot on here do but Neshek was there for Stearns and he whiffed. Could make the difference down the stretch not adding another competent pen arm.
  9. Anderson just had the inning he needed to hopefully extend in this game.
  10. Braun just missed busting this one open. Dang it.
  11. Of course it can't matter who you are playing but it's more of a when did/do you play them. Baseball is about streaks and even good teams have bad ones and bad teams have good ones. The division and wild card will be settled between the teams as they play each other quite a bit to finish the year. We've lucked into an opportunity for the playoffs with that [sarcasm]dynasty[/sarcasm] in Chicago having an off year and now it's up to the Brewers to play well enough over the next 40 games to get themselves in.
  12. Missed opportunity to not score Braun and now a leadoff double the other way. Eventually someone will break this game but it doesn't feel like the Brewers today. Hope I'm wrong.
  13. Whatever.... for a series, sure. Ya never know. It's baseball. However, when you are playing very good teams for two, three weeks with many on the road? No. It matters big time. Nuh uh...
  14. Anderson can't locate the offspeed. This may not go well today.
  15. How can you blame him for that? That would've happened to anybody else. Check his last name, that's how.
  16. Yup all these games against good opponents don't mean a certain outcome just like all those games against bad teams didn't mean we were going to win. Baseball is a long season of streaks. Time to hit a good streak and the opponents name with just be a group of letters. Exactly. A good example of this is the Reds. Their record says trash but the way they are scoring runs right now might mean losses. (See Cubs: which could have very easily have lost 3 of 4)
  17. There's no reason Woody shouldn't be in Garza's slot come Sept. 1
  18. People read way too much into the schedule. Waaaaaayyy too much. Enjoy the ride.
  19. He is so incredibly bad. I have such a hard time listening to him. It's literally, cliche after cliche after cliche. The people who complain about BA just don't realize this is what could be our nightly crap we listen to.
  20. Not to be a buzz kill but Craig Coshon just sucks. lol
