  1. [sarcasm]I'm sure it's just a total coincidence that you're at one end of at least half the pissing matches that happen here.[/sarcasm] Nah. You can check my post history if you'd like. Hardly a thing. Few spats with you because you just continue on and it's too fun to not keep it going. Like tonight. There was nothing there and you just kept going.
  2. Then you should be pretty happy with him as he's won or at least not lost a good 90 percent of his deals. Lucroy and Jeffress lead the Rangers to the playoffs. Brinson is a bust. Yet another terrible trade. This was all that was said and here you two go making it more than it was lol. No mention of the trade being a busy. Keyboard warriors tonight!
  3. Cool, whatever makes it easiest for you to talk up the guys you like and complain about the ones you don't. oh boy. Take a step away from the keyboard. I simply pointed out that the pitch on Fox Trax was in the same location. You're all huffy over nothing. Again, carry on man lol
  4. Lol does every guy that we trade away have to do something for it to be a bad deal? Susac looks like trash and Bickford hasn't been on the field. That's what we've had for our prized lefty reliever a year ago when the market was smoking hot. Its disappointing to say the least. Um.... yes. What do you think Giants fans are saying trading away their 1st round pick for a guy that needed TJ surgery? I don't give a rats behind what they think or want. Lol why the hell would I care what they think or want? Winning trades is what I want Stearns to do. And not just win them, I want him to find the best players baseball has ever seen for our worst players. Why? Because I'm a Brewers fan. I don't care nor want other teams to feel good
  5. I do. But sometimes you get busted inside and K's happen. He got caught over the plate and rung up on a "ball." It happens. Wasn't a ball. Barely catching the corner counts as a strke. Trust Foxtrax if you will. Again, I've seen this from other guys, so I'm not just specifically going after Villar. It's an extreme pet peeve of mine for a guy to K in a 2 out RBI situation. I have a lot more patience for chasing there. And a lot more patience for striking out looking on a borderline 3-2 pitch when you're leading off an inning down 3. Situational baseball. I will. Carry on.
  6. You make it sound like Will Smith has done something. Lol does every guy that we trade away have to do something for it to be a bad deal? Susac looks like trash and Bickford hasn't been on the field. That's what we've had for our prized lefty reliever a year ago when the market was smoking hot. Its disappointing to say the least.
  7. Gameday uses Statcast which is supposed to be a legal display of the actual strike zone. FoxTrax does not. Once again, not the point. If Broxton had K'ed looking right there I would have had the same criticism. It's a valid critique. You don't agree that with 2nd and 3rd and 2 out, a more aggressive approach is needed given the situation? I do. But sometimes you get busted inside and K's happen. He got caught over the plate and rung up on a "ball." It happens.
  8. He got rung up on the same pitch you complained that Broxton got rung up on. Has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm talking about. When it happened to Broxton, there was nobody on. When It happened to Villar, it was a run scoring situation, which calls for more aggression on borderline pitches. I would say that regardless of who was up. I even criticized Broxton in my post and said he's already going to strike out plenty on his own. You don't need to defend Villar in every possible situation when the criticism is clearly warranted. And all that said, no, it wasn't the same pitch. Gameday had Broxton's clearly off the corner. Villar's caught the corner just barely on the edge, which does by the rule qualify as a strike. Same spot on the tv's Fox Trax. Another poster said it was right down the middle. Carry on though.
  9. And three starts later, and LOSES later... he gon! Get the bum a plane ticket to Colorado. We are in a pennant race!!
  10. He got rung up on the same pitch you complained that Broxton got rung up on.
  11. Hopefully this is his last start. Bullpen, as a longer guy, fine. He can't be worse than what's currently in place. But starter, just no.
  12. Suter isn't good. When is Anderson back? Guerra? Heck Burnes or Jungmann?
  13. You gotta try sometimes. That was a fine send. Perfect throw got him.
  14. I know Fox Trac had it off the plate but the pitch looked over the plate. Strange. And Keon went straight to the dugout.
  15. Villar just starting to heat up too. lol I've always enjoyed Walker as a player.
  16. Below are stats from the last 28 days: Barnes, 7.45 ERA, 1.072 OPS against Drake 7.27, .945 OPS Torres 3.00 ERA, .599 OPS All have pitched 10 IP in that period, so small sample alert. Barnes could use some time in the minors to get things straightened out OR just rest his arm. And as pointed out can avoid burning an option if recalled in Sept. I was one who was screaming back in May to get rid of Drake, Torres, and Hughes so I understand your argument. However, I'm starting to understand how difficult it is to evaluate RPs. A full season of 50-60 IP is really a small sample. Hughes has really turned it around so that is clearly a lesson learned for me. I think the Brewers are just trying to retain as much controllable talent as they can. Sending Barnes down for a while so they can hang on to Drake or Torres until Sept rosters expand makes some sense. Both Drake and Torres' numbers look bad this year, but inext year they could be drastically better. I like Drake's 9.9 K/9 this year so clearly there is something to build on. Torres was very reliable last year. Then again, neither are getting younger and Torres is arby eligible. I have to believe they will try to avoid DFA both of these guys and that may mean Barnes to the minors when Chase gets back and avoid burning Guerr's option. I enjoyed reading your post. Very informative and I agree with a lot of what you said but Torres doesn't belong on this team even as a mop up arm in September. He's absolutely garbage. Drake, fine as your lefty specialist but Torres sucks.
  17. Villar heating up?!? Hope so. I'll just say it now. Thanks Torres for your suckiness and Pina for not putting it in play to get us a run an inning ago.
  18. Man the Brewers know how to suck you in don't they? To not even get a run to make it easier in the 9th... man.
  19. How Torres still gets a MLB paycheck is beyond me. Good comeback to make it close but I'm sure it'll fall flat. Nice to see life though.
