  1. Won't affect a thing. Means nothing compared to the major team.
  2. No. Start him at a major league level. He has nothing else to prove that he can get the major league hitters out. Now let him prove it over 5-7 innings consistently. He's the best talent this organization has. Give him a opportunity to use that talent to the fullest. If he fails, then move him back to the pen or trade him. The walks is something we will just have to work around as he goes through growing pains. Either he'll learn and grow, or he won't. The clock has started on him now. He might he the #1 this organization has so badly needed. Ya just never know and I'm tired of people pretending to.
  3. He can get that work as a starting pitcher next season. Some great pitchers need time and he's one of them. If we continue have him relieve we will never find that out. Next year he has to have an opportunity. If you're not going to do that then trade him and get players(s) for him.
  4. He's gotta go. Next season needs to be either the Brinson or Philips show in CF. Hopefully Brinson as Phillips takes on the rover 4th OF role.
  5. After seeing how consistent Braun has been even through some injuries, I'm good with keeping him out in left. Santana can man right and the better of the two Brinson/Philips can be out in CF. Broxton is the odd man to me.
  6. Yes. We can forfeit the one game he may have to pitch at Coors every year but otherwise he's a #3 starter and may be a bargain in his prime. Not sure he's any better than Davies. They strike out about the same per/9 but Davies walks guys considerably less. He's also younger, controlled, and cheaper. I don't see a significant upgrade there plus paying $10mil+/year.
  7. Tyler Chatwood? Is that I'm seeing you want as our #3 or is there someone else I'm missing here?
  8. What is everyone seeing in Dubon that I'm missing just by looking at his stats? Seems to get on base a bit and some steals(but gets caught a bit too). Other than that he has zero power and his BA is just alright. What screams starting MLB two bagger?
  9. While he is doing very well in AA, he's almost 3 years older than the competition and it's his first year pitching pro ball. I could see him next season if he's still on this path but in two weeks might be jumping the gun a bit. That being said, Espino and Houser have no business on the 40 so if they wanted to move on from them and add a lefty, I'd be okay with it.
  10. At this point we can just hope that Phillips would get the call up and continue with the hot bat. Granderson isn't coming.
  11. At some point the kid gloves have to come off with Hader and he's got to get the ball every five days and learn how to get major leaguers out for 6-7 innings a crack.
  12. Good bounce back. Heading in the right direction. Finally!
  13. Villar lucky there but great to see our leadoff hitter continue to get on base!
  14. Just glad Braun is in there. Too hot to take out right now.
  15. not at all true. Man, tough crowd. Think he was just saying it tongue in cheek. Interesting.
  16. No need to carry 5 starters either roster guru.
  17. Yep. That's what he is. Lol
  18. Watching Susac reminds me sometimes how little prospect rankings mean. I'm sure eventually he'll hit a little bit but he's pretty bad at receiving a baseball. Just not fluid in the slightest.
  19. Barnes isn't going anywhere.
  20. Brewers World on twitter is saying he thinks Carlos Belonis is a possible part of the return. Take that for what it's worth.
  21. Braun is a much worse pinch hitter than Villar, by that logic. Statistics say Braun is hitting .000 this season. Uh, it's not logic. It's math. It's factual that Villar has been quality as a sub this season. Not sure what you're debating.
  22. If Thames cools again, Walker has been at 1B a few times too. Hopefully Reds-Thames just starts to be Thames. Unless Stearns is completely fed up with Villar, I just can't see them giving up on a player that's shown such promise. Especially for a guy like Sogard. He's 31 and we know what he is. Sogard can jump up on Sept. 1 and help then. And as to who we give up, I just can't see it being a notable prospect. I'm sure no matter who it is, there wil be some that lose it over that said player but most of those prospects will ever see MKE anyways. Cheers to adding a quality player with a professional approach and also a guy with playoff experience, just in case we somehow fall into them.
  23. Well tonights walk off win probably just saved his job sooo.. yeah. Does this need to be in blue? Good gawd Briggsie.
