  1. Broxton is doing his own to damage any value there.
  2. I do agree with you but it is tough to continue to produce when your at bats are so sparatic. He's probably the next to go down since there's just no where's to play him.
  3. 0 for 4 with 2K's tonight. Must've stopped the PEDs for a day.
  4. No one would be rushing him. He's had plenty of at bats (roughly 2,000) and if he's hitting the ball like he has been (homer tonight) he deserves to be called up if there's a spot for him to play.
  5. I'm sure since I'm going to the game tomorrow I'll be there to witness this team head under .500 where they will most likely stay for the remainder of the season. Turning this one off. Terrible. I hate the Cardinals.
  6. Just can't give up singers to pitchers. Same ole Wily.
  7. It was me. It's a horrible commercial. Whoever though of that idea, while getting the opportunity to use Uecker is a fool.
  8. Santana needs to work on his launch angle. Hits the ball way to hard to have such poor results.
  9. Your focus can still be 2018-2020 and still bring up guys like Arcia, Brinson, Phillips, Woodruff, Hader, etc... Those players can only do so much at the lower levels. After they clear that Super 2 area, and IF they are performing at a high level in the minors, there is really no reson not to bring them along at the major league level.
  10. I'd rather see Santana forced into CF than to call up someone like Wren.
  11. I think it'd be fun if they sent down Broxton can called up Brinson AND Phillips. Minds would blow around these forums but it would be fun as heck to watch those two with this team.
  12. Okay then send Broxton down to AAA and let him re-earn a spot back on this team. I say this if he continues on the path he is currently on.
  13. Only 40+ at bats but Brett Phillips slash line is .318/.375/.568/.943 so far. Good sign.
  14. It is a little bit funny that Kirk finally had a good game and then was removed from the team. I don't understand the Suter call up as he is pretty stinky himself.
  15. It's been 42 ABs and he has 5 hits, last year he was 3 for his first 43. I'm high on Brinson and expect big things from him but 42 ABs is far too soon to write Broxton off. I mean it's possible he's a bust but far from certain yet. Besides I don't think he has enough of a sample size to get much in the winter for him anyway. I'm not saying he's going to be the player we are currently seeing on the field but I'm just not as high on him as some are. I think he can be a solid player out there wish is why I wish he didn't get hurt so we possibly could've sold high on him. As much as we want to see Braun moved, moving a hot hitting Broxton at league minimum is a lot easier and you can acquire very good talent for those types of players.
  16. Brinson will most likely have over 2,000 at bats as a minor leaguer by the time they consider calling him up. If he's still smacking the ball around the park at a high clip, I don't think it is rushing the process at all but continuing his process. Can't hold everyone down all the time. Some just continue to grow and they have to continue that at the major league level.
  17. Yes, Brinson over Broxton would be fine with me after his Super 2 cut off date. I wish Broxton would not have broken his wrist at the end of last year so we would've been able to ship him off before he turned back into the pumpkin he's been.
  18. Playoffs depends a lot on other teams as well. If the Pirates, Reds, and Cardinals stink this year all of a sudden a path to the playoffs becomes more realistic because you get so many games against your division. Not saying this is going to happen, but this is a path to them when you are just an average team.
  19. I personally hate giving Stub Hub the fee money they take on each ticket. Drives me nuts.
  20. Lol yeah I was just having some fun with you. I do agree on the catching situation. Play them both until one doesn't do their job. Right now it's just too good to be true.
  21. I love the near even split of catcher playing time. Should prolong both their careers and keep them both effective late in seasons. Agreed. It's like what they did with Kirk, Broxton, and Santana last season.
  22. I'm perfectly fine with Davies going down when Guerra and Garza are back. He can go lose games for AAA and work out his crap down there.
  23. Nice of Davies to at least leave the guy at third.
