    Perez may never be a starter for a team but he sure as heck has proved his worth being a key bench guy. Guy can play all over the IF and now proves he can stick in the OF if need be. Good guy to have. The OBP just isn't there to be long term solution.

    All things that may never have happened without the trade. I'll take my chances with Anderson, Isan Diaz, Wilkerson and Rijo.

    Even with the PED stuff, Braun has turned out to being the better choice for contract. Hope Fielder can get himself right.

    Everyone can agree that Wren or Reed might be upgrades at this point but again, nothing is going to happen until after trading season.

    Broxton is on the 40, Wren is not. After Aug. 1 it may be able to change but Stearns isn't messing around with the 40 until the trading season is over.

    Probably would be hard to break down. I mean you have your CC's of the world and then other fillers who help your team but don't carry it.

    I want pitching. If the deal doesn't include pitching, we'll be no better off then when Braun-Weeks-Fielder, ect... came up.

    It's a downer to be a fan of this team for the most part. Hear those loud cheers in our own stadium just flat out stinks.

    I just don't care for Scooter at 2B anymore. Hope some team trades for him too.

    Junior Guerra for Miller straight up.

    Not even remotely close. Peralta had one decent year and Jungmann like half a year. Miller has three great years and was an elite prospect. Give them those two plus a lower level prospect.

    I would love for Shelby Miller to take Garza's spot in the rotation. Talk about a high reward type of a situation it could be. Next year: Miller Guerra Davies Nelson Hader... I hope.

    Yeah I'm in the camp that if we don't get a resonable offer than just hold tight. Screw these teams if they don't want a player of his caliber.

    I agree. The only way Smith or Jeffress is an add on is if that team is adding on 2-3 more high quality prospects for a massive haul.

    We are talking about the same team that may not trade for a catcher when they currently trot out guys worse than some pitchers when it comes to hitting. They want to stick with the veteran. Just my guess as many teams do that every year. Yeah you are probably right. Maybe Uribe is superior on D, who knows.

    I agree, very excited. But why 1b? Every projection I've read says he has plus athleticism, arm strength, and accuracy for third. I think I just looked at his errors so far and jumped the gun a bit on him. Hopefully he gets the chance to become a 3B first or maybe a corner OF if he is that athletic. Either way it is nice to see a guy just come out swinging. I think my post was more out of the frustration looking at Biloxi hitting stats. Pretty brutal. Especially for our "future" center fielder.

    Just put Erceg in AA and see if he sticks. That team could use s bat since Phillips seems to have forgotten how to hit. Depressing.
