  1. Until their big guys (Gomez, Lucroy and Braun) start to hit, this team will struggle mightily. Occasional singles through the right side from those guys just isn't going to get it done.
  2. Well hopefully we can string together some offense against their bullpen. Just doesn't feel like our night though.
  3. Can't catch a break. Not many hard hit against Peralta
  4. That's way Gennett. It is sure nice to see an opposing pitcher going to have over 80 pitches through 4 innings. Get to that pen!
  5. A tough pitch and he got a hit out of it. Cant ask for more......what's going on here?? No catch? Definitely. Hopefully it'll get Aram going. Easy to see on the replay but watching it live I thought it bounced first too. Nice that they have replay to correct that stuff.
  6. Scooter has some really bad body language on the field and it bugs me.
  7. Time to start letting Hector Gomez get some more AB's.
  8. WAAAAAAYYYYYY to early to tell on Davis. The guy can hit. Sure he has a noodle arm but he can be alright over there in LF. If anything, Hamilton to 1B for us could make sense if we didn't have Lind. Other than that, sorry folks, we do not have the DH.
  9. A total rebuild is not neccessary in my opinion but continuing to make smart trades(Segura, Sardinas etc..), signing guys to fill holes (Aram, Lind, etc..), making a few international signings (Lara) and hitting on draft picks is perfectly fine with me. It could turn out where we have Peralta and Nelson as a 1-2 punch for dirt cheap, and that was done without a rebuild. Yes, we have holes that we all like to complain about but honestly, who doesn't? There are absolutely no guarentees when you rebuild. We could rebuild for two decades like it took from the mid to late 80's to mid 2000's. Meanwhile we'd go back to not getting fan support and not money coming in. An owner, that is proven that he wants good things to happen in MKE, would go away.
  10. How do you know RR hasn't tried? He probably speaks with Gomez quite a bit and you just don't know it. Gomez plays the game differently than a lot of "American" style people would like, but that doesn't mean it cannot be effective.
  11. A series win over the Cardinals would be a great, great thing to kick off the year and erase some of that poor beginning.
  12. If Segura hits and continues to walk a little bit I could see something like this being the best we have: Gomez Segura Braun Lind Lucroy Davis Ramirez Gennett
  13. The problem with this is, Lucroy is already taking those left handed pitching swings right now because if we do want to extend him, it will be as a part time catcher and 1B. That leaves Braun still in the OF. Personally, I'm OK with Braun in either LF or RF. His defense is fine, not great, but fine out there and I don't think it is much harder on the body. If Lind keeps whacking away, he might be the answer there for a couple of years as well.
  14. I hate that picture but I kinda like the fact that they did it. Hopefully things like that bother our Brewers players and until someone knocks them down a peg, this is what we deserve.
  15. Come on Brewers! Get off to a good start against the Cardinals this season.
  16. Did you even ask? I got told last year once that the mods did it, didn't do another one. Yeah it's always been a select few. And their used to be someone who made a nice lineup with pictures of the starting pitchers. Like I said it just seems to being going downhill with game threads.
  17. Honestly never thought I could. Always seemed to be the same people.
  18. Nope. Just like the Brewers, this forum is headed downhill.
  19. When would he join our single A club and start that process?
  20. Where is he playing this year? Can't find him on a Google search or the rosters.
  21. I think they really have done a better job trying to re stock the farms than most give credit for. Nice international signings lately and wouldn't be surprised to see another this summer. I'm one that doesn't believe a total re-boot is necessary. We hope Nelson and Peralta become the 1-2 farm punch we need and then this off season hopefully we'll sign Zimmerman and have a great 1-3 plus adding in Garza and hopefuls like Fiers and Thornburg, maybe Jungmann. Lots of options to get a good rotation. Trading Gomez might be necessary though because of his agent and pretty much no possibility of signing him at a reasonable rate. Need Taylor or someone to step up and be that next guy through. We've talked about the IF. Between Sardinas, Segura, Arcia, Gennett there is enough to go around to fill 3b, SS, 2b. Maybe Lind is the answer at 1B for a couple of years too. And possibly Braun goes there after that. Lots of ways this team can win and still build from within. Just trading everyone away and hoping those players work out is not a great option for me nor does it seem that way for Mark A and I don't blame him.
