  1. Yep. I have seen Braun work counts and hit balls hard. I didn't see that much last year. Sure it would be a horrible contract if he never does hit but it's way too early in the season to make this judgement on him. To me it sounds more like a fan that has hurt feelings because he lied to them.
  2. More than happy to have that guy included in a deal with Boston. Throw in a "B" prospect with it and I'm probably sold. Sick of Garza.
  3. Yep. With Narron here I would've took a shot at this one.
  4. Parra is trash too. Should've saved that money and just played Schafer.
  5. Well we've handed the Cards a run and not been able to move one in from 3rd with less that two outs. All in only two innings. Sounds about right.
  6. ... They didn't tag. Ball was more in the gap so I think they both thought to go half way.
  7. I'm not sure if Braun got a bad read because Parra was just fine going. Either way, it stinks.
  8. Lind just barely misses one and then we end an inning like that? Yikes.
  9. How do you miss something like that? Honestly that's terrible.
  10. I'll take Buck Farmer in return. 24 years old. Was called up last year and did not do so hot but has had some really good success throughout the minors.
  11. This doesn't have to do with any one race but I know that numbers in baseball struggle after kids get off of the small diamond at the age of 12-13 years old and enter the game on the big diamond. Kids lose interest because pitchers do not throw strikes well enough yet at 60.6 and most kids do not hit the ball out of the infield which really is a boring game to watch and play. This leads to a lot of stand around time and kids move on to other sports where they are more involved (seems like lacross has made a dent) or video games. I know some areas have tried making an intermediate field to play on but if not all places are using this, it is hard to go places to play.
  12. Minor Leagues: 2014 vs. RHP- .291 avg. / .690 ops 2014 vs. LHP- .282 avg. / .697 ops 2013 vs. RHP - .295 avg. / .766 ops 2013 vs. LHP - .257 avg. / .671 ops Major Leagues: Overall- .260/.317/.660 ops Splits- vs. RHP- .263 avg. / .654 ops vs. LHP- .255 avg. / .672 ops I think that his stats go down in the majors for two reasons: #1- pitchers are better than in AAA #2- he never has played extensively enough to get in a groove. It'll be interesting to see the next couple of weeks. Hopefully he continues to get starts there.
  13. Estrada for Lind Gallardo for Luis Sardinas, Corey Knebel, & Marcos Diplan Aoki for Will Smith Greinke for Jean Segura, Ariel Pena, & Johnny Hellweg I'd say that all four of these trades acquired nice players for the Brewers and really go against your rant.
  14. If this team doesn't flop last season and gets into the playoffs, DM looks like a very good GM. Since they flopped, people who have wanted to rebuild, just about every season now have their gripes and can say we told you so. This team, even this season, could (have) competed for a playoff spot. It happens to be that they started the year about as bad as anyone can so we'll see how that plays out but I guess I'm tired of hearing how poor this franchise is set up. Too many people reading the bio's of the big franchises prospects and believing the hype.
  15. Another series we can start to make up some ground. I'd be ecstatic over a sweep but I would take 2 of 3 as well!
  16. Maybe it has hurt us but it's so hard to say because we are not exactly sure which players we missed out on. I for one feel as though we do need to make it a priority to establish ourselves in this market. There are a lot of really good players that can help Milwaukee win ball games in this market so we do need to use all the resources possible to find these players.
  17. Are we a better team with Herrera manning 2B over Gennett? Herrera gives us a switch hitter with which seems from the naked eye to be about the same defense as Gennett. Gennett can ONLY play 2B as well so Herrera gives us more roster flexibility. I really wouldn't mind seeing Herrera smacking the ball around for 3 weeks and taking that job.
  18. Cotts is on this team? Hardly remember seeing him pitch so far. Much like Gorzo. I'd be open to a trade to DET. Krod would be nice to dump off since he is signed through at least next season. It'd be great to get ourselves out of that contract. Broxton is at least off the books after this season.
  19. A sweep this weekend and we are only 4.5 back with 143 left to play!!!!
  20. YES SIR! Brewers take the lead!!!!! So happy we made a lead off walk pay. They seem to always do against us.
