I'll wait to see this year more than last due to his thumb injury. That was more of an issue than any PED he's ever taken. If that thumb is right, he will hit.

Spot on Monte. Very well written. Couldn't agree more. People want to make him out to be some villain that he just is not. Dumb mistake, sure. Villain, no way. Seems to be a pretty good guy actually.

What Many Brewers Fans May Think, But Dare Not Say (Yet)

If this teams only wins 67 games then the entire team got hurt. Come on. This is basically the same squad that was in first place for an entire season a year ago and players like Segura, Gennett, Davis should get better just based on being a year older. Yes this team could fall a part but so could a lot of teams including each and every team in our division. -
I too was hurt that Braun would go to the lengths he did to lie but the comments towards him after this has played out has only made my support for him to grow. He's nowhere near perfect as a person but neither am I. We are always so quick to judge athletes when they do wrong but who knows what you would do if you were in their shoes. I always tell my history students that it is easy for us to look back on history and say, well we wouldn't of done or said that(covering slavery right now). But it is a lot easier said than done.

But Brian was just telling me what great shape Lohse is in and how he looks nothing like 36! Brian must be confusing Lohse with all the college basketball he has been doing as of late.

I watched Lohse pitch against the Cubs last week and this looks no different. Talk about sucking the opening day enthusiasm right out of me.
