Yeah I have the MLB E.I. package. It's nice to hear other announcers sometimes but Brennamen makes my skin crawl. He's annoying. -
Will MLB and all these providers like DirecTv, Dish... ever learn that people want to see the games and will pay to see them. JUST PUT THEM ON ALREADY!

ugh.. Only getting the Reds feed on DirecTv tonight. Yuck Thom Brennamen. And why are we like the only game that is not available in HD?

Maybe not, but I'm sure he has the decision of where in the rotation and right now he has Suppan about 4 spots too high. I don't mean to direct this at you GB12, but with all due respect... Do people really think that Macha can just change "where he is number wise in the rotation". Someone else touched on this, it's not a batting order. How many casual fans would be happy to hear "Macha changes pitching rotation to the new rotation of 1.Yo 2. Manny 3. Looper 4. Bush 5. Suppan. However they will continue to pitch on normal rest." Elated casual fans go wild with this drastic change. It's the same order 51234 or 12345 who cares? Yo and Manny need their innings kept down and Looper was hurt in spring. What were his options? I just think this is a strange thing to focus on.

"The guys battled to the end," Macha said. "We had Prince at the plate. There were a lot of positive things happening. We can't just hang our heads." Could someone please tell him to never say the team battled to the end. We heard enough of that garbage the last few years.

I don't know about Fukudome, but Soriano BARELY speaks English. I x-rayed his hand last spring and asked him what he thought of the Brewers. He struggled to say "they are a good team too, but we will beat them". It was painful. I felt bad for even asking. He seemed nice but, I would pay to listen to him have a conversation with Fukudome.

I'm not sure Rickie was jogging, it just takes a few steps to get up to full speed. I think he is only 1 of maybe 4 guys on the team that get in there safely.

I don't think he should have walked hill to get to Marmol. Lou showed that he would pinch hit, and even if he didn't they would just tell Marmol to take every pitch so that Soriano comes up with 2 on and 2 out. If you get hill you have a chance to get out of the inning with out ever seeing Soriano.

If I remember correctly it was up the middle, not too far though. Just hard hit.

If anyone is watching on WGN, Len and Bob are raving about Harden's ability to get Corey to chase balls away in the dirt... Memo to Len and Bob, just about any pitcher can do that, it isn't specific to Harden.

I loved that Michael can't get away from Toby. Only thing better than hearing him on his phone in the restroom would have been to be stuck under his desk to hear him all day. Is there another angle the show could go other than production being down and corporate asking Michael to come back? Seems like the inevitable story line. I love that Pam has the old copier back from the garbage. Also I laughed out loud at Michael in his robe accidentally flashing Pam. 2 good episodes.

I posted something similar at the end of yesterdays blog but I don't know how many people are going back to read it. So far I'm impressed with Macha. I know the casual fan thinks he is a moron for starting Suppan first but it really does make sense. Being that our rotation doesn't stack up 1vs1 2vs2 and so on with other teams, this is brilliant. Why not throw Suppan out as a sacrificial lamb against the other teams ace? It gives every other starter a better chance of winning being that our staff is facing 1vs2 2vs3 3vs4 4vs5 5vs1. I know that after a few off days or a rain out the rotations will all be mismatched anyway but I just believe this gives us a small advantage to start the year.

I'm sure Macha knows Yo is the best on the staff. I actually think what Macha is doing is brilliant. If you can't match up staff for staff with other teams sending our 1 vs their 2, our 2 vs their 3, our 3 vs their 4 and so on gives us an advantage. Give it 2 weeks and it won't matter what spot in the rotation anyone is in. Rain outs and off days will have spots in the rotation mixed up vs other teams anyway.
