  1. Yes, thank you... I was talking about wasting Santana's value/potential with him becoming a 4th OF, which is insanely stupid. I didnt see that JB put Opening Day... But still OD is San Diego against Clayton Richard, I bet Braun is at 1B and Santana is in RF.
  2. Absolutely wasting Santana's value/potential.
  3. I cant see them giving out $40 mil+ to Cobb... That's not how they do things.
  4. Looks great! Only changes I make Taylor Williams over Hoover and Christian Bethancourt over Bandy. WHY DID JIMMY HAVE TO DIVE AGAIN??
  5. But posting Price is Right and Princess bride stuff is not garbage and ok?
  6. Something to talk about.
  7. This is a rumors main thread, why cant I post what I see?

  9. Think we just found our OD lineup... This is today's lineup 1. Lorenzo Cain ® CF 2. Christian Yelich (L) RF MOVE TO LF 3. Ryan Braun ® 1B 4. Travis Shaw (L) 3B 5. Eric Thames (L) DH INSERT SANTANTA 6. Jonathan Villar (S) 2B 7. Jett Bandy ® C INSERT PINA 8. Eric Sogard (L) SS INSERT ARCIA
  10. Wont have the money for Keuchel. I hope Drew Pomeranz is #1 on his list... But Im sure he'll get big money from someone else. Wouldnt mind Matt Harvey if he has a bounce back year... But again, if he has a good year he'll be out of our range.
  11. Where do you see him signing?
  12. So he made up the 7-14 days part?
  13. Cobb just needs to sign, so we can finally end this thread and move to Major league forum.
  14. Follow baseball insiders, read all rumors, report rumors as coming from personal "source", then quickly delete those tweets if rumor proves incorrect. I feel like we've been down this road before. We shall see... Nightengale posted about Arrieta and Cobb more than likely signing this week. This guy tweeted about Arrieta signing with Phillies or Nats on 3/1 and saying it would likely be 7-14 days before something happening and Jake signed on 3/10.
  15. I'll post this again since it got buried in Broxton trade talk... I Tweet It, It Is So @basesloadedwalk Source - Expect Cobb to get 3 yr deal between $43-$48mil. #Brewers still in the running. He will likely make his decision in next few days. @brewers @Acobb53 7:22 PM · Mar 11, 2018 Source? LOL. This is just some random guy with a twitter handle. And he's only connecting the dots, but not saying anything concrete. Look at some of his other tweets on Arrieta and Lynn.

  17. How many regular season games is Villar going to have to start before you give up on the notion that he's a bubble player? I think not signing Walker sealed the fact that not only is Villar going to be on the team, he's likely going to see the majority of the playing time at 2B. I'm sure Sogard and Perez will see time there as well, though. Agreed, Villar is gonna be out starting 2B against RHP and Perez against LHP (My guess on Perez).
  18. I'm sure when there is anything other than crickets regarding Cobb, it will be here. Yea good point.
  19. So glad the Cobb thread turned into trading Broxton.
  20. I can see Hoover making the team over Barnes.

  22. Suter has 2 options. I feel like I've seen it all offseason that Suter was likely to get an mlb job due to his performance last season and 0 options remaining, I could be wrong on that. Like Outlander said, Suter has 2 options left.
  23. This is an unrelated point here, and I agree that Hosmer's gonna end up being a bit of a burden in a few years and probably nothing special short-term, but just ignore the marketing Hosmer move and what have they done to screw up their future? The Padres have been one of the more future-oriented teams out there since they got past that stupid Upton/Norris/Kemp/Middlebrooks/etc. offseason. Agreed... I like what the Padres are building... I'm probably the only one who likes the Hosmer move.
  24. This is an interesting tidbit. Wonder how long we would go without adding a 5th guy to the rotation? Perfect... Anderson Cobb Davies Chacin
