    It seemed like a cool event, but the production on the TV version was not very well done. And yeah, the booing of Gagne was a little overboard.

    I still would trade the Padres Escobar in a second for Peavy. I would even throw in Gwynn and another spare part. You add Peavy to our rotation and we are set. I know it's a long shot but I can hope.

    I wonder why Uecker is such a jerk to fans at events or in public but seems like the coolest guy on the air and on TV. It doesn't seem to make sense.

    I'm with you, I don't much like the bitter cold but will take it any day over snow. I'm just glad December and January are out of the way. And now onto February which thank God is the shortest month.

    I would give up Salome for Hughes or Kennedy. If I recall we have 3 or 4 catchers in our top prospect list that was in Baseball America recently. So would it really kill us to give up Salome for pitching which we BADLY need right now?

    1.000 OPS would be great but if he continues putting it up over .900 I will be more then happy.

    Great interview. That had to be from On Deck since that is what Braun was wearing. Same with the Hoffman interview they had on the other day. My two favorite things from the interview were Ryan realizing he needs more plate discipline and saying Macha brings accountability to the team, no gray area just black and white.

    What kind of issues? I was getting that service is not available errors constantly and I just swapped boxes and it fixed the issue completely. Yeah, that is what I keep getting. And specifically for MLB Network and some other channels. I called Time Warner last night and complained. Told them I keep getting those errors. They said they would send a tech out on Saturday. I told them someone already came out a few weeks ago and ran new cables and splitters. So I asked if I can just get a new box. They said yes. So tonight I'm gonna go swap boxes and hope that works so I don't need a tech to come out again.

    Honestly to me the only pitcher left on the market who is worth a contract like this is Sheets. Not Garland, Perez or Wolf.

    Of course once AGAIN I'm having issues with Time Warner and actually getting MLB Network in. It only seems to work when it wants to. I yearn for the days of Charter again.

    Sorry to hear that Hammer. I am in a similar situation, I have not been let go, yet. I hear lots of rumors at my office of people being let go because of the poor economy. I heard rumors that this was the week everything would happen if it did. I left today still with my job, will I make it three more? Who knows. Got my resume updates just in case.

    I would also say no to the first. But yes to the second. Braun and Markakis are two of the best OF's. And Price could be a flat stud. I would do the second deal.

    I'll have to recommend it, as I'm currently working for RotoWire part-time. I got my copy, looks pretty good.Your working for them? That is cool how did you get that gig and what are you doing for them? Also, did the magazine hit stands yet?

    I would be down with that, just take out Soup and insert Gallardo or Bush.

    I have to say IF Ben Sheets is pitching for the Brewers in 2009 I would be completely shocked. But also very happy. I just think the ship has sailed unless Ben gets super desperate.

    I think Hoffman would be a lock. Why wouldn't you make one of your one and only big free agent signing.

    I really wanted Lyon before we got in and signed Hoffman. Heck even after we signed Trevor, Lyon would have looked nice in the 7th or 8th inning.

    Very nice deal for the Royals buying out two years of free agency. Nothing wrong with that.
