Pathetic. Yet another reason to hate Boras. We all know no other team is interested in Manny. If he really wants to play he would just take a Dodgers offer and get into camp. What do they want an A-Rod type contract for a guy who is 36?

This stinks. I think healthy Gagne would have had a great shot to make the club. Hopefully he can get back fast.

Are there any opening day tickets left? Besides SRO and obstructed views?

I was pleasantly surprised. I liked him a lot. And put me in the camp that his voice sounds quite a bit like Powell's. I wish Jim never left but I am looking forward to hearing Provus for years to come.

They are gonna have a Josh Hamilton special on first airing Friday night. Looking forward to that.

So I'm looking at the USA roster for the WBC and it says Braun is number 51. That is weird since no one else is wearing 8. The US bullpen is sick: Broxton, Fuentes, Howell, Nathan, Putz, Ryan and Shields. Wow.

So many great posters its hard to choose and pick since I wouldn't want to leave anyone out. I think everyone brings something to the table to have good, smart baseball conversation. And since 2004 I have enjoyed coming here for just that.

I like Cameron and I'm glad we brought him back. If he can put up similar stats to last season with his good defense in CF and the leadership he brings to the club I think he will be worth the $10 mill. This season we will actually have him for April to which is nice. If he did strike out a little bit less that would be nice to. But I'm not betting on that.

As much as I want Gallardo going on opening day in SF, I guess in the end the rotation gets goofy at some point during the year so whatever.

Like 20fry said I have seen most go for over $100 on ebay.

Anyone seen a pocket schedule yet? And who is on it?

I love it. I watch it a lot. Like others have said they do love them some Yankees and Red Sox but it isn't as bad as ESPN. Loved Hot Stove which starting tomorrow will now be MLB Tonight. Also enjoy the "greatest games", Ken Burns's Baseball and Prime 9. I also pretty much like all of the talent on the channel. Especially Hazel Mae, very nice. Look forward to more contributions from Bob Costas.

Yeah, Vuckovich used to do some of that stuff and it would annoy batters.

I always thought it was funny all the equipment/uniform issues he had. Spikes, shirt coming untucked, wiping the goggles and taking his hat on and off.

Snow blowing round 2 is complete. Much easier then round 1 was this morning. I would be very happy if this was the last big snow of 09. But I won't hold my breath.

I'm with truecrew. When Lamb is in have him bat 2 and Hardy 5. Hardy 2 when Hall is in.
  17. BrewCrewForever
A-Rod has turned into a complete joke to me. Just a liar.

Prince looks good. Hopefully being slimmer and not having to worry about the "business" side of the game the next few years he can go back to raking and improving on his horrendous defense from 2008. And as far as being a leader, I think he is a leader of the team but to me Braun is THE leader of the team.

I personally don't think Crede would be much of an upgrade at all over Hall/Lamb/McGehee.

I think obsessedwithbrewcrew pretty much said it all. I don't know if I would say B+ thought probably a B- or C+. The offseason started really slow but Doug picked it up right before spring training by getting more pitching depth in the pen and in the rotation. I don't think he made one move I didn't like. He didn't make a huge signing or splash but improved the club with needs.

I wouldn't mind Hardy in the 5 hole. He did pretty good there at the end of last year.
  22. BrewCrewForever
Yeah, he seems to have this basketball thing down. I'm not even that into NBA ball, more of a college hoops guy but I love watching King James play. Everytime a Cavs game is on TV I try to catch at least some of it. He is like a freak of nature hes so good. There really is no stopping him.
  23. BrewCrewForever
Very happy Yo put the Brewers first. I'm sure it was a tough choice because he really wanted to represent his country but he knows its best to be in Brewers camp coming off the knee injuries last year. He will get another shot in 2012 I'm sure.

Got in a little bit ago from round one of snow blowing today. Had to have at least 5" here in Menomonee Falls already. I will wait for round 2 once it stops later this afternoon.

I can still hear Anderson's call over and over again in my head: " And its gone!!! Ryan Braun!!!!"
