  1. Yeah Lucroy must have forgot in 2012 they were in Wild Card contention at the end of the season and had a shot. And we all know they had 2014 wrapped up and all the bats, including Lucroy went silent at the end of August into September. So maybe he should think twice about his not winning since 2011. I like Lucroy, but I am pretty shocked to hear this kind of stuff from him. Thought he was more of a true leader and good clubhouse guy. Sounds like sour grapes.
  2. Wow, that isn't holding anything back. Letting it fire Johnny!
  3. Jungmann going down would be a bad choice. Either 6 man rotation or you trade/waive Lohse or trade Garza.
  4. Looking at OF in the NL, Braun is certainly one of the best and deserves to be in the All-Star game. K-Rod and Lind are others who have a shot. But I am sure with how bad the Brewers have been they only get one in the game.
  5. Still a top 5 game I have ever been to in person. It was kind of the coming out party for the Brewers. Rickie and Prince each hit their first HR, Braun doing an interview on TV after draft/signing, beat the best pitcher in the game at that point and it came during their first non-losing season since 92'. Make me remember how much I enjoyed the 04' and 05' seasons even though the team was not really contending. Still had lots to be excited about.
  6. Sadly, had to leave the game after the bottom of the 9th. Had to get home to watch my son because my wife had to leave for a work meeting. I would have stayed for all 17. Would have been fun.
  7. Man, it sure if cool to be able to get uber excited about a big time prospect for the Brewers again. Seems it has been awhile. Can't wait to see him in 2016/2017 playing SS everyday for the big club.
  8. I think it is a good bet Braun is the Brewers All-Star. And it is pretty cool it would be his sixth time. Heck, if he keeps this up he might win that sixth silver slugger this season as well.
  9. Broxton should not be used by Counsell in high leverage situations for a while now, if he knows what he's doing.
  10. Ha, I can still remember being a 9 year old at County Stadium hearing these two guys just heckle Stubbs to death about how much of a bust he was and what a waste of money. And my Dad not joining in their fun but nodding his head in agreement.
  11. So 40 man is still at 39, correct?
  12. Odd timing, was never a major Roenicke supporter nor a hater. Maybe I even leaned a little toward supporter. Feel bad he lost his job, did some nice things when he was here. Surprised he kept the job after last season, thought he would get a bit longer of a leash this year. Just hope the guy announced tomorrow is not Gardenhire, hope it is Narron or Counsell on interim basis and they do a full search and interview process in the offseason. Unless of course it ends of being Gabe Kapler, than I hope he is the permanent guy.
  13. One game does not make a season or mean a guy is back to normal. But I was very pleased to see what Braun did today and I hope it is the first step in seeing him come closer to being the Braun of old. I'm hopeful, but still a little skeptical.
  14. No, I think he would get a full season 162 game suspension. The one after that would be banned for life.
  15. The HR last night was good, but until I see him be able to driver an inside fastball to LF and LCF on a regular basis, he just won't be the same player. Good pitchers will just pound him in because they know he can't turn on it like he used to. Outside part of the plate he can still seem to drive to RCF and RF, which is awesome and is a sign of a true great hitter, but you also need to be able to pull an inside pitcher with power, he has not done that since first part of 2013.
  16. I do agree with this. They are starting to turn in the right direction. I hope Montgomery can have a strong 2015 draft and gear up for a high pick in 2016. Really need to hit on these to go along with what is turning into a pretty decent farm.
  17. I think Segura at 2B and Arcia at SS would be really nice. Figure Arcia is up at some point in 2017, Segura not a free agent until 2019. Sardinas would be my utility guy. Not sure where that leaves Gennett and Rivera, probably on another club.
  18. Thanks, I do live close to Milwaukee, but never made it to any of those stores. Just ended up buying one off Ebay with two controllers, the dvd remote and a Star Wars game.
  19. This is a theory that does make a lot of sense. Montgomery is young and very highly regarded around baseball circles. He will head up the draft for the Brewers this year and then possibly take over as the GM/Baseball Ops President going into 2016.
  20. Exactly. He must have had a major change in his way of thinking from what he did in 2008 to now. It's like he's afraid to fire someone now when he canned Yost and canned Macha.
  21. Going to the game tonight, excited to see Nelson start. Not excited to watch the Brewers try to hit Cueto.
  22. If Roenicke is let go during the season I am sure Narron would take over the interim to finish the season. Then I would hope they would do a search for the next Manager and I hope it would be a younger Manager like some have mentioned, Gabe Kapler or someone like him would be great.
  23. This made me literally laugh out loud. I'm dying over here.
  24. I have a feeling that if Braun continues to struggle and it is not due to injury he will start hearing it. Especially with the amount of money and years left on his contract. It could get ugly. Usually closers when they flame out always get booed DeJean, Turnbow, Gagne, Axford, etc. Position players I remember really hearing it are Sheffield, Stubbs, Hammonds, Helms, Jenkins (toward the end of his tenure), Hall, Weeks.
  25. I agree with this. Peralta and Nelson are too good and we control them for too long yet. They have to be kept, everyone else can be par of the fire sale. And I hate to say that as I love Lucroy, Gomez and Segura. But those three will get you the most really good prospects back. With the pieces they could get back for those three players in addition to guys we currently have in the system like Arcia, Taylor, Coulter, Harrison, Lara, Williams, Wang, etc. some of those guys could already be here in 2017 and by 2018 or 2019 Brewers might be serious contenders again. I know a lot of fans and maybe even ownership hate the idea of a 3-5 year rebuild but now is the time so we can actually go on a contending run again.
