I would have to say they feel pretty nervous right now. THey have for about 100 years now.

Well now that we have Durham this idea can go to bed. I wanted Roberts bad, oh well maybe this offseason we could snag him.

I can't believe there are still people that call into the local sports stations demanding that Yost be fired. At this point in the season, what would that possibly accomplish? Yeah, I have been very hard on Ned this season. But right now he has this team 12 games over .500 and playing great right there for the division and wild card. Even if they go on a slide it would be pointless to fire him now this season. The best day to do it was the off day after the Boston series and it didn't happen. So if will fail to make the postseason again this off season could be when Ned goes.

Wow, when you look at "similar batters through age 35," you get Alan Trammell, Ryne Sandberg, Craig Biggio, Barry Larkin, and Joe Morgan. Nice players, all. That is pretty good company. This deal is a short term kidn of deal and it should work great for this year. I love it.

Enjoy it guys! Bring them luck and a series win!

Dillon officially sent down as well. Go Crew! Now the big roster move question shifts to what happens when Suppan is activated Tuesday. (Fingers crossed for Mota. Boom...outta here!)
  7. BrewCrewForever
Exactly! Counsell is about as sure handed as can be. Branyan and Hall both have had their struggles. Hall probably a little more. But neither is as good as Counsell on D.

This is a great move. Gives us a switch hitter who carries a high OBP and is batting close to .300. I'm not totally giving up on Weeks yet but they better make this at least a straight platoon with Durham starting against RHP and Weeks against LHP.

I agree, JJ has been awesome today. I still wonder though if he could be as solid at 2B once Escobar is ready at SS we could have an amazing middle infield.
  10. BrewCrewForever
I agree, if it is 10-0 then by all means Mota can pitch. If it is 5-0, then heck no. Riske warming we seem safe I guess.
  11. BrewCrewForever
My God please no Mota. Nice AB be Braun, what a shot.

Yeah when Coshun interviewed Chris in AZ he did seem confident he would be a Brewer. He also had a shaved head, which was different for Cappy. I always liked Chris, would love to see him with the Brewers in some fashion. Start in AAA and try to work his way back or whatever.

I think it will be in WI b/c of the FSN broadcast which is disappointing to me - I'd rather watch the ESPN broadcast. Yeah that sucks, just because as a Charter subscriber we don't get FSN in HD till next month and tomorrow's game is in HD on ESPN so I would rather watch it on there.
  14. BrewCrewForever
So I would assume tomorrow's game that is on ESPN will be blacked out?
  15. BrewCrewForever
How can they not know that Burnett plays for the Blue Jays? That is down right funny.
  16. BrewCrewForever
Awful pitch to swing that there. Braun is a very good player, but he has to lay off some of the pitches he swings at to be a great player.
  17. BrewCrewForever
Nice AB JJ, make em pay Braun.
  18. BrewCrewForever
Yeah I noticed that as well. It wasn't even Burnett. It was some guy on the Rays, not sure who though.
  19. BrewCrewForever
Ledger as Joker = Best comic book villan ever. Period.
  20. BrewCrewForever
Im okay with Cameron. He is just a solid CF and he has some pop in his bat. Nothing special, but a nice veteran on the team.
  21. BrewCrewForever
Tall task today against "The Freak". Maybe we can get to him early and Manny can hold the lowly Giants offense. Come on boys sweep to start the second half! Only 1 back of the Cards and only 3 now behind the Cubs? Things are getting very interesting.

Heck yeah! D-Bow! I went last night to see it. And it was hands down the best Batman movie and best comic book movie ever, and I would say it would go into my top 10 or 15 movies of all time. The action scenes were just awesome, story line was great and all the actors were pinpoint on in their roles. Of course with Ledger as The Joker being at the top. I didn't think that people over-hyped at all, he was as good as advertised.
  23. BrewCrewForever
Exactly! I fully expect both of them to have higher OBP at some point. That with both having awesome SLG% will only make their OPS's look even sweeter.
  24. BrewCrewForever
I am totally down with that trade if it were to happen.
  25. BrewCrewForever
I bow down to CC Sabathia. The man is electric and so exciting to watch. With him and Sheets at the top of our rotation I feel so good about getting to the post season now. By division winner or wild card. And when we get there I think we can make some major noise. Now if we only had a leadoff hitter......
