If the Cubs and their fans are not nervous now they never will be. Tie for first place on July 26th! We made up all that ground and our offense really has not had it going since the break started yet we are 8-1. Wow.

I love Ryan Braun. He is a SUPERSTAR. Bottom line.

Since he has come back from the DL and quit over throwing realizing he can't throw 98 mph anymore he has been very good. I have been very outspoken about my love for Gagne and I think he is back. Even though he can get it up there anymore he can still be very nasty with that change and breaking ball. Just keep the fastball down and on the corners and he is awesome.

Speaking of that Cubs loss it was the first time since April that the Cubs lost back-to-back home games. I believe we did it first in April to them.

Here is how I predict it: AL Tampa Bay Rays Chicago White Sox LA Angels Boston Red Sox NL Philadelphia Phillies Chicago Cubs LA Dodgers Milwaukee Brewers

I second that, Hall has cooled a bit and if Branyan is ever going to go on a HR binge again he needs to get some AB's.

Happy birthday BTA, Colby and Mr. Gamel!

I hope to God that long layoff doesn't affect Bush. I would love to see another dominate performance at home. Lets get this one and get ready to win the series tomorrow. Go Crew! Don't we usually kill Backe? I hope we can again.

Yeah it's good news for us in that we don't have to worry about Nady's bat or Marte's arm when we play the Pirates which is HUGE! But I do feel bad for the Rays, I have a bad feeling we will see the Yankees and Sox once again both come out of the East. But maybe the Rays can keep it up and not fall off.

I'm okay with Hall playing against some RHP but Branyan needs to stay somewhat sharp getting AB's. He should start tonight against Backe with Hall back out there on Sunday against Wolf. I still believe Branyan will get hot again and when he does look out.

Tough game, pretty good pitching. No hitting, need to wake up the bats.

I would love to see 5-2, but I would even be okay with 4-3 as long as we don't have a losing homestand I will feel okay. I think we can go 6-1 though.

Oh man Cubs lost here we go boys. Lets get this thing to 9 in a row and a dead heat with the hated rival to the south!

I still wish another network, FoxSports, CNN, Versus, hell, C-Span...ANYONE ELSE would start up a rival, nightly sports newscast, so we can get some fairer reporting. Oh well, I just remembered Pujols hanging his head again, and I'm back to ecstatic! Me too! I remember when CNN/SI was around for a minute back in the day. I liked it, wish it could have stuck around.

That is a great point. He is still staring at that HR!

I think this erases that hideous trip to St. Louis last season. This is awesome.
  17. BrewCrewForever
My God, 8 wins in a row. A 7-0 road trip, just amazing. That is now a 3 game wild card league.
  18. BrewCrewForever
I think they'd all consist of A-Ram, Man-Ram, and Mel Hall. Yeah, people want to give Ryan a hard time but he isn't even in the same league as Man Ram and Aramis. Those guys hot dog just about everyone.
  19. BrewCrewForever
On a side note, nice scoreless inning from Gagne again tonight.
  20. BrewCrewForever
Come on Salomon not out of this yet.
  21. BrewCrewForever
I'm pretty sure Helms will kill us one way or another for as long as the universe is in tact.
  22. BrewCrewForever
I'm sure Milton Bradley or Barry Bonds hold that record Pedro.
  23. BrewCrewForever
Is there a hotter combo in the bigs right now then Hardy and Braun?
  24. BrewCrewForever
I had a feeling Braun might hit one there. The way LaRue kept setting up inside made me think Franklin might make a mistake and not get it in far enough.
  25. BrewCrewForever
I have to say though, Braun may have hot dogged that one a bit. I think we are done against the Cards after tonight though, right? So we don't have to worry about LaRussa hitting him.
