craigharman you are correct. Gagne should not be available tonight. He has pitched 3 innings in two games. Sit him tonight.

I have to imagine if Pierre gets on, Shouse is in to face Eithier. At least that is what I would have done, but Yost you never know. Man Braun is on fire, average up to .294, before you know it he will be over .300. Nice to see Prince get into the act as well.

I hope Gagne can get a day off tomorrow. Pitching him three days in a row after one of the games was 2 innings scares me. Although he allowed a hit and a walk I thought he threw well, hopefully he can get that slider down and have three effective pitches. I am hoping he can get a few 1-2-3 innings though.

Feel bad for Cappy. Great guy, had a awesome 2005 and a decent 2006. Last year had that awful streak, but pitched pretty good some of those games and had no run support. Best of luck to him, maybe he will still wear a Brewers jersey.

Come on win #3 in a row!

I would love to see Gagne get a save in Boston. That would really tick off those chowder heads.

That dude is a tool. Plain and simple, I think it's kind of funny when people talk crap about this site because they have no idea what they are missing.

Big props to Ryan Braun and Dave Bush. What a fun game to watch, we actually scored runs and had good pitching. Gagne wasn't so bad either which was nice.

I don't think he is ready quite yet. I think he will take over at some point before the end of May or early June but he needs a few more outtings in middle relief. He wasn't bad yesterday but wasn't great either. 1 ER at the end of the world, but I was impressed he was able to go 2 innings.

Yes, Branyan should be the guy platooning with Billy if anyone should.
  11. BrewCrewForever
And then he can make a few "rehab" appearances and see if his mechanical flaw is solved and if he seems to be throwing better he could resume the closer role.

I really want to go to the Yount game. That will be a sweet bobble.

JJHardy7, I like everything you said. Well done.

1 Hart CF 2 Gamel 3B 3 Braun LF 4 Fielder 1B 5 LaPorta RF 6 Hardy SS 7 Kendall C 8 Weeks 2B 9 Pitcher P I do kind of like that lineup. Maybe Weeks #6, Hardy #7 and Kendall 8th though. But I am quite excited for Gamel and LaPorta. I know we won't trade LaPorta but I hope they don't trade Gamel for some pitching. I just want to add I like this for 2009, not now or at anytime this season.

    I guess that is possible.

Rays are by far my favorite team in the AL. Remind of the Brewers a few years ago, I got some of their players on my fantasy team that are giving me great production: Shields, Kazmir, Navarro and Crawford.

So if Sheets goes Friday who are we starting Thursday?
  18. BrewCrewForever
That is crazy to think, I really hope Bush can find his stuff and pitch good and get through 6 innings and hopefully the bats stay somewhat hot and get hotter yet. I'm hoping Braun continues to sizzle 7-13 in the series. 3 out of 4 from the Cards would be outstanding considering where we were when he started this series.
  19. BrewCrewForever
    Weaver is my choice.

I like Joe D, but I'm in favor of the above post. A Hall/Branyan platoon would be awesome, also maybe play Hall at SS or 2B once in awhile. I doubt it will happen given the amount of money Hall is making though.

Great win, I didn't see any of it because of Mothers Day activities with the family. But I was okay with an off day from the Brewers and hey they even won. Awesome that Brauny hit two out with the pink bat, maybe he is the new kind of pink and not Hall? We shall see. Nice for Suppan to get a "W", lets keep it rolling with Bush tomorrow and take 3 of 4 from the Cards.

I'm probably the biggest Gagne fan on this entire board and I even have to admit he needed to be removed after his latest outing. I'm glad Eric was a man and knew he wasn't getting it done and pretty much made Yost make the switch. I do think it is temporary as long as Gagne can figure out whatever his problem may be.
  23. BrewCrewForever
Gagne must be removed from closers role. At least for awhile. And Yost must be removed from the manager role because he is a moron.
  24. BrewCrewForever
Gagne blew it, but you know what this offense still doesn't score enough runs. How many left on base today? A ton.
  25. BrewCrewForever
Three hits today for Braun. Nice Ryan.
