Yeah it was a sweet logo, kind of an updated version of the Braves "M" and the first Brewers "M" when they first came out with the hat. I guess I will just have to keep checking ebay and hope a 7 3/8 pops up on there sometime. If anyone else has a tip, let me know. -
paul253, I feel like you have read my mind. I feel the exact same way you do. This team can have a firesale, and they don't have to start over. They will still have a good core at the big league level, with some good prospects on the way. They will have some money next season and they should get some of the pitching they need in a Prince Fielder deal. They could compete as early as 2011 and 2012 at the latest.

While I am frustrated and disgusted with this teams play, they are not nearly as bad as many of the other Brewers teams I have stuck with. And I love baseball and this team so I won't ever give up my love and passion for this team. Never. But man, they are brutal right now, it's tough to watch at times.

Went to the Brookfield Square Lids tonight, they didn't have the white or gold "M" logo hat. Damn.

Letsgobrewcrew, it's the hat with just the "M"? Not the interlocking "MB"? How long ago did you get it? I was there a month ago. Did they have the gold and white version?

patrickgpe, I ahve only seen the "MB" interlocked logo hats from the 90's. berniebrewer, I have looked at the LIDS at Mayfair and Brookfield Square in Milwaukee. Neither have the "M" hat, only the "MB" hat from the mid 90's. Thanks though. Unless for some reason at that Madison one they have this hat. But I can't seem to find it anywhere in my size 7 3/8. Quite a few on ebay, but always small sizes. Not eve sure how long they wore this cap for, 96' was the first year, not sure if they were it all the way up till they switched to the current uni's and caps.

I would love to swing a trade with the Rays. I hear a lot of good things about their prospects. Especially Hellickson and Davis (who is already in the bigs). I'm just not sure Tampa Bay would make a trade like that for a rental player like Prince, even though they would have him for a year and a half. Would be nice though. -
While things are rough right now, no way would I call the Melvin era a failure. Like it was said before, Bando was an utter failure and Taylor was not a whole lot better. Melvin built the Brewers into something and even a playoff birth so saying it was a failure might be a little harsh.

If we are not going to compete, lets bring up the kids that are part of the future and trade the vets on this team, namely Prince to get the players we need to be back in it next year or 2012.

I have been searching ebay and the web for this hat (the gold or white "M") in a 7 3/8 and can't find one anywhere. If anyone knows where I might find one or happens to come across one, please let me know. I was always a big fan of this hat and really want to get another one (had one years back, lost it and it was a smaller fitted hat size that I had then). That is not always correct to where the pitchers actually were. I seen those pitches with my own eyes. They were strikes or damn close, way to close to take with 2 strikes that is for sure.

It is inexcusable how bad that umpire was squeezing Gallardo throughout the entire game, especially that 6th inning. No wonder his pitch count gets so high. Even Macha showed disgust during that 6th inning.

I'm ready to trade anybody not named Braun, Gallardo, Escobar, Weeks, McGehee and Gomez. Everyone else is fair game, bring up some of the kids from the farm. If we are gonna lose and spin in mediocrity I would rather watch young players that might be part of our future. I'm just sick and tired of this crap.

Of course if Gallardo's pitch count didn't get out of control again he would have been pitching in the 7th.

I think I have seen this movie before. Brewer starter goes 6 strong innings and then the bullpen wets the bead. Jeez. Will it ever end.
