As good as Gallardo is, sometimes he can be as frustrating to watch as Parra.
  2. BrewCrewForever
I was not aware of that Parra stat, that is crazy.
  3. BrewCrewForever
Agreed, I'm a big Rickie fan, but he needs a day off BADLY.
  4. BrewCrewForever
Wow, Harper already has Bowman cards? Crazy. So a guy like him who had not even been drafted yet has a Bowman RC, but Lawrie and Braddock do not?
  5. BrewCrewForever
I would be fine with Lucroy and Kottaras catching the rest of the year.

One thing good about Parra so far this year, he has a very nice K/BB ratio. It's just those 25 hits that scare me. Hopefully he can keep th BB down and limit the hits. He just has to trust his great stuff and he should be okay. Don't nibble, but don't throw it right down the middle.
  7. BrewCrewForever
True, but often times when he wants to he can reach back and throw 94.
  8. BrewCrewForever
TooLive, I also do not see Braddock as a LOOGY. I think he should be given a chance to close next season.

I guess just to clarify what I am saying, I like Manny Parra. I want him to do well, he has great stuff. But if he continues to not be able to put it together, at what point do you maybe try to trade him in some kind of package or replace him on your roster with someone that can help? I just wonder how much more time he gets to "figure it out". That is all I am saying.

So after not starting for 2 months and not being stretched out, he gets a 2 game audition to keep a job? He has had quite a few opportunites to seize the day and be the starting pitcher we all know he could be, if he fails in this 2 or 3 starts you think it is because he was in a reliever role for 2 months? I'm just not sure how many more chances you give the guy. He has had plenty of time to turn it around and he has not. I hope he goes out and does great, but we'll see.

I don't really think he is a relief pitcher. He's a starter, and if he fails again as a starter I think you look to move him. Sure he MIGHT turn it around for someone else, but how much longer do you wait on him here to see that happen? If we are gonna have another lefty in our pen other then Stetter, wouldn't you rather it be Braddock?

I seen Ken Tremendous (Michael Schur) tweet this yesterday. I was shocked. I don't know the ratings exact, I'm sure they are not great but good. But with all the buzz around this show and how good it has gotten, how could they do this? Another STUPID decision from NBC.
  13. BrewCrewForever
Like the move. I would also hope this is Manny's last chance. If he can't show to be a decent starter in this next couple of starts, I think it is time to cut ties.
  14. BrewCrewForever
Did you guys get any Strasburg's in the Bowman you opened?
  15. BrewCrewForever
With Davis on the DL, I think Parra should get that spot in the rotation. Give him the ball and say "Manny, this is your last chance." He's not a bullpen guy, he is a starter, and if he cant show something this time around, it might be time to cut ties with Manny. He has as much raw talent as Gallardo, heck maybe more but he just can't seem to figure it out. Maybe this time around getting a chance to start he will. I'm pulling for him, but if he has poor results again, see ya Manny.
  16. BrewCrewForever
    Uggghhh.
  17. BrewCrewForever
Prince's average up to .275. Not bad.
  18. BrewCrewForever
Yes, it was Tom. I heard him talk about that on the D-List. I don't mind Tom. I listen to most of his segments with Homer and the D-List daily.
  19. BrewCrewForever
    Talk about bad luck, oof.

logan, the funny thing about that to is a lot of the beat writers had been asking Macha if Rickie needs a day off since he had been scuffling and his response was "Rickie wants to play everyday." Well yeah Ken, I'm sure every player wants to play every day, but your the Manager! Sit him one day, just give him a day off.
  21. BrewCrewForever
Yeah, Victorino was not just crowding the plate, he was practically standing on it.
  22. BrewCrewForever
Really need to get a 1-2-3 inning here with the bottom of the Phillies order up. Then we got Braun, Fielder and McGehee coming up. Lets go boys!
  23. BrewCrewForever
There should be a mute button for Joe Morgan.
  24. BrewCrewForever
No doubt, Rickie should be out of the lineup tomorrow night and Counsell in at 2B. A day off might do him some good.

Anyone else notice ESPN has been playing songs off of STP's "Tiny Music..." album going in and out of commercial breaks? Kind of strange since that album came out in 1996.
