Another long time lurker checking in. When does the train to WOAH SOLVDD territory depart? Asking for a friend...

Not to mention that Mexico City sits at almost 7,400 feet above sea level. That place would be a launch pad that rivals Cape Canaveral.

Figured this was a bit off-topic, but feel free to move it. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/declare-major-league-baseball-opening-day-national-holiday/3XNmgfBb

I don't know if it was mentioned on the broadcast tonight but it seems like he's running his fastball instead of staying on top of it. Wasn't that part of the problem he had last year?

Of course, I was honestly hoping for this to develop into another flame war against Yuni B. I love reading the discourse of those.

    Opening day first baseman?

I for one would love to see Narveson back in the starting five. They could send Rogers to the pen and have him play the same role that Estrada played last year, which was waiting for that inevitable injury to a starter while pitching in relatively high leverage situations. Rogers has good stuff, but he lacks that third pitch and I can't say I'm sold on him as a starter just yet. Also, I love me a crafty lefty and I believe every complete rotation should have one.

So does this mean Brantley is out of a job?
  11. SuddenRedScare
Apparently there's an issue with his elbow that is holding up the completion of this deal. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/8933842/elbow-condition-eyed-seattle-mariners-felix-hernandez-deal-source-says

Agreed. If I had to pick, I'd go with the yellow one, but there were honestly much better designs submitted that used a yellow jersey.

I want to say that's what the Mets were trying to do with him back in 2010, but IIRC, he ripped up his shoulder again before the season.

I certainly miss Braddock's potential upside. This guy had lights out back end bullpen guy written all over him at one point. Hope he can figure it out in Baltimore.

I don't think this is necessarily a case of bringing a guy back simply because he used to be on the team, he's still a good pitcher, and a 'crafty' lefty to boot. With the market for pitching the way it is, 6M (with a 6M option, 1M buyout in '14) seems to be quite a bargain for a guy who will give you ~190 innings of <4 ERA baseball. This said, I wouldn't give up too much for him, maybe a lower level arm, but bringing Cappy back seems to me like a much better allocation of resources than say signing Dempster. I try to remain impartial, but I must say, I really do love my 'crafty' southpaws.

How long before Michael Bourn changes agents?
  17. SuddenRedScare
Any interest on bringing back Carlos Villanueva if the price is right? Could be used in the rotation or in the middle/late innings as a replacement for Veras.
  18. SuddenRedScare
or moose? Or perhaps even a caballo?

This is the design I submitted. I was trying to go for a modern look with a retro color scheme. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v510/derekj2oo7/brewers-1.png

It's a requirement for the uniform to have the current "M" logo on it in some shape or form.

This makes me wonder what they have planned for their RH bench bat. What's Kevin Mench up to these days?

Hitman - Very creative logo. I'm quite curious to know how many posters here plan to submit a design and if the majority are waiting to submit theirs towards the end of the contest.
