  4. It's hard to really fathom how bad this offense has been, but feeling like the game is over when you're down a run in the 9th and get a leadoff double might sum it up.

  7. Holy cow. That was fun. One more fluky, 7-inning win, and this is a team that's in playoff position.
  8. I don't think whoever came up with the 3 batter minimum planned for the Cards meeting on the mound after just about every hitter. Make it moot, Keston. Fly ball.
  9. yes I thought so. On a better note, Lindblom has done a nice job against a tough lineup. Dejong hit a laser foul ball, but otherwise he seems to have guys off balance.
  10. Is it weird that watching this offense makes me optimistic for next year? On account of "these guys cannot all be this bad"?
  11. Man, Hiura's pitch recognition just seems off. He is hacking. It's a sweet swing, but he needs more time.
  12. This was pretty good. I laughed. Still on the whole, "IF you're gonna be bad..." train. Hope MLB doesn't change the draft rules and think about moving Hader in the offseason, in anticipation of a more robust market. I think Josh is going to be good for the next 3 years. Game-changer good. But Williams might be there too, and there's enough depth all over this roster on the pitching side to keep the BP pretty darn good. Plus, I think there's a good chance Josh gets a little worse. I'd move him. I really would. It's the kind of move you don't have to make if you're a big market team, but when you're not, it feels like the one you regret not making.
  13. Does anyone care if we get no hit? I am feeling very uncompetitive about this...I maybe almost want to get no-hit? Is that horrible?
  14. I mean, I hear you. I don't have a lot of faith that the Crew can win enough of those for it to matter. But anybody can 6-4 or 7-3, and that's going to make it interesting. 7-3 and you figure they're in second.
  15. Kind of a circus out there right now. I think the Brewers can score late today, so keep it here, and let's go. Really should have been an easy inning.
  16. Yeah. We have reached the point where we all know what you mean without any explanation.
