  1. You have to loce the Crew's committment to trying to win 1 and 2 run games. Tajes guts, I guess.
  2. This. Miami uses the floor much better.
  3. I'm real interested in Stearns' organizational philosophy. Really seems like he loves turning over the BP, and I gotta say, he's real good at it. Pgelps was an easy choice to trade, and I was surprised to get all pitchers back, but I think maybe Srearns sees relievers as just surplus value machines? And trusts the org. to turn out Haders and Devin Williamses, and even Suters and Peraltas. That is really interesting to me.
  4. Figured Phelps would be going. Can't really analyze without names, but I'll say this: I was hoping for a position player.
  5. This is a powerful way of thinking about things. Thanks.
  6. Just given the culture of sport, the "play no matter what," the pressure, the money, the dedication, the act of deciding not to play because of deep, thoughtful, personal conviction is admirable. Proud of the Bucks.
  7. Last out of the no-no looked like a hit off the bat. Great positioning. Giolito's change-up was ON.
  8. Use this site, it will save you the headache of doing any calculating: MLB Tankathon The top of the page is projected draft order and the bottom of the page is current playoff standings. The website updates immediately upon completion of each game. Hey, that's great. Thanks!
  9. Following the standings has been real odd given the unequal number of games. I'm like envelope calculating winning percentage. But, yeah, I was surprised to see how many teams are still in it. I feel like the Brewers are going to have to run off a 6 of 7, 7 of 8 streak at some point in part because the number of teams just means you lose ground to someone with every loss.
  10. Looks like they should have plenty of time to get it in. Maybe the offense will think it's, like, the 6th inning instead of the 1st and scratch a couple.
  11. Perdomo-coaster alert. He's fun in an unpredictable way, anyway.
  12. If you're going to be bad, this is the year to do it. Get a decent pick, use it well,. Check the market on some BP arms this week, maybe. No idea what trading will look like, but I would take just about whatever prospect capital we could get for, say, Phelps. I might even try to give Taylor and/or Ray a look. Why not? Can't be worse, and at least they're young-ish. Heck, I'd take Keon.
  13. "It's just that kind of day," says LePay. That's one explanation I guess. And I no longer think we will win. Ha.
  14. At least we've generally hit it hard today. So have the Pirates, but there's me trying to be positive.
  15. Somehow I still think we'll win today. And yet we spent 5 innings not hitting Derek Holland. Again.
