I'm a Gallardo fan, but watching him pitch is sometimes very painful. High pitch counts just irritate me. Will he ever be a consistent 7 inning guy, or will we always just hope to get 6? He's a guy that always has high pitch counts. Is it a control problem? Mechanics?
If for some reason everything falls apart, we should try to trade him. I could see the Yankees being desperate enough to overpay for Lohse. I don't think that will happen though. The Brewers are playing good baseball without Aramis and Hart. Gallardo is still sort of cold and we are playing well. This team is going to kick some serious butt when Aramis and Hart are back from injuries and Gallardo heats up.
No one is stupid enough to trade for Weeks. He's an awful player with a bad contract. We are stuck with him until his contract is up or he retires. I think he's done. He's checked out mentally. Just look at his face and his mannerisms. He looks scared every time he goes up to hit. Failure after failure after failure destroys your confidence. The best thing to do would be send him down to Triple A. Put the guy out of his misery. If the team keeps him on the MLB roster he's going to keep failing. His defense is bad. His approach at the plate is bad. His once fast swing is now very slow. The wrist injuries have ruined his bat speed. I can't remember the last time he caught up to a fastball. I'm a big Weeks fan, but the time has come to send him away to AAA. It's sad because this guy was a top 3 2B in all of baseball 2009. He was crushing it in the 1st halves of 2010 and 2011 until injuries slowed down his season.
Brewers will bounce back with a win against their favorite whipping boy. We have owned the Pirates for the last few years. This year Marquette basketball team will be honored at the game today. Buzz Williams is throwing out the first pitch
what a bad game. we should have won. gomez with a bad error, RRR with stupid decisions, the pen finally blew up. just a bad night. let's bounce back tomorrow.
holy mother of pearl weeks... im starting to feel bad for the guy. he just looks so hopeless at the plate. its the same routine every at bat. 0-2 count, ball, maybe another ball, swing and a miss at a breaking or a groundout.
if they lose its on RR. i couldn't agree more. Stupid bunt lover. i can understand making that call if the weak part of the lineup is hitting. i dont understand calling for the squeeze when your best two hitters are up.
