  1. Might have lost it briefly in the lights or ribbon board
  2. Thank you Neto for not throwing home. I think Caratini would’ve been dead.
  3. Good thing Counsell didn’t agree with anyone who wanted Caratini catching with Contreras as DH and Tellez on the bench.
  4. That was too close to overturn. Even if his door was a hair off the bag when he received the throw, he may have grazed it with his heel before he threw. Worth a challenge in the 8th inning but not likely to succeed.
  5. I think he knows that and will do it on occasion, especially against a LHP when he can give Tellez a day off. Very possibly tomorrow.
  6. They so badly need to get Taylor or some other competent outfielder so they can get Anderson back at 3B.
  7. That meatball throw could be the game decider.
  8. The Brewers offense continues to be the magic elixir for any soft tossing lefty. In his previous 3 starts Anderson had gone 14 total innings, striking out 7 while allowing 17 runs. Tonight: 6.2 innings, 1 run, 7 Ks.
  9. Funny, but when I pointed out last year that the Brewers hot April was padded by a lot of games against the Reds, Pirates, and Cubs I was dismissed as a pessimist. The Brewers proceeded to play .500 ball the rest of the season. I wouldn’t be too quick to dismiss the Cubs and Pirates as potential contenders to win the division. If the Cardinals don’t straighten out like they seem to every year, and the Brewers can’t stabilize their pitching situation, we could be looking at a division race that could be won with 85 wins or less, and it wouldn’t take that much for those teams to achieve that. As a previous poster pointed out, it isn’t unusual for baseball teams to have a significant year over year improvement that nobody predicted before the season started. The Brewers have done it a few times, in 1978, 2007, and 2017. The Royals in 2015 went from years of futility to the World Series. As the Brewers have shown in this homestand, beating teams that a team “should” beat doesn’t always happen. So, I wouldn’t scoff at the Pirates beating up on the Reds (who just swept the Rangers) and Rockies, or the Cubs for winning something like 10 of 13 recently.
  10. Except it does take place in a fraction of a second and they weren’t taking a 3 either way.
  11. I feel sorry for the people in the Bucks marketing department who are going to have to try to sell tickets for next season. Who would want to spend money on any of the 6 months of meaningless exhibition games.
  12. I don’t think there are many people who think they can win in overtime after the way they choked away that fourth quarter again.
  13. This is now a beyond laughable demonstration of terrible coaching and choking players.
  14. Except that they grab the rebound, call timeout and get the ball in the front court anyway.
  15. It would be very fitting to lose this game and the series because of a missed free-throw and a three-point shot at the buzzer.
  16. Proving that Monday’s choke was no fluke.
  17. The fourth quarter is not the Bucks thing. How can a team of professionals playing with a 24 second clock score only 6 points in 9 minutes.
  18. Bucks being put out of their misery as the Heat continues to drain triples at will.
  19. Yeah, it detracts from complaints about Yelich’s contract.
  20. Can’t be too upset. The Tigers are tough to beat.
  21. It sure has the looks of one when the pitching falls apart and the offense goes dormant.
  22. The Brewers are heading into a real danger zone. Between pitchers who are injured and those who are ineffective the staff is a far cry from what is needed to support the mediocre offense.
