  1. Myers made the White Sox look like a potent offense. That isn’t easy.
  2. Some people don’t like it when you bring things like that up.
  3. Maybe should have saved mentioning that until the series is over.
  4. Very majestic as he swings and misses.
  5. Sometimes it helps to address the comments that suggest that a series should be easy because of an opponent’s record. Baseball has never worked that way.. Sweeping the eventual World Series champions might have to wait until next week.
  6. This series should be at least as easy as the one last June against the A’s who came in here with a record of 14-50.
  7. Great entertaining series. Cardinals now in second place.
  8. Cubs seem to be seeing just fine. Not feeling good about this game with the Brewers bullpen shorthanded.
  9. Hopefully it will bother the Cubs. They need the runs.
  10. Who’s going to try to cover the last 2 innings? Bullpen is a little thin right now.
  11. Especially if he has to have a big wrap on his finger.
  12. Rea has them popping up about 350 feet from the plate.
  13. Good send too with two out, though I’m sure there would have been complaining about the 3B coach if he had been thrown out (which he would have been if the throw had been about a foot closer to the line).
  14. His ERA under 1 suggests that it will be another 6 or 7 shutout innings.
  15. Ironically it would have been better if the Brewers hadn’t tied it. Now they lost their closer for some time.
  16. Not much risk of that with that spot 9 batters away and Monasterio still on the bench even in the unlikely event the Brewers tie the game.
  17. It’s like that all over. So, it shouldn’t be embarrassing.
  18. The Brewers were also shut out in Peralta’s first start against the Cubs. One run being enough is not out of the question.
  19. Hope Brown is on a tight pitch limit. Looks like we have to wait until tomorrow to hope for a run against a Cubs starter.
