  1. Kizer is terrible so he might as well be. The UDFA from Southwestern Assemblies of God University is the real deal.
  2. Except for the entire 2017 season where he hit .277 over 550 AB That’s not great, but very solid considering he’s generally a + defender. That many AB isn’t a short flash. I’m to the point that I’m willing to see if Dubon can give equal or more productivity with less payroll. If so, take what you can get for Arcia and move on. Would not surprise me to see him with a Gomez type surge at some point tough.
  3. I don’t know what the run support numbers are, but Davies seems to be the “unlucky” guy in the rotation that hardly ever gets runs.
  4. Davies doesn’t have his best stuff tonight, but battled through it so far. Need the offense to wake up.
  5. Sheffield without all the waggle. Griffey Jr without the tall stoic stance. Take out start and finish and just look at the hands through the zone and Sheffield is a really good comparison. There haven’t been many with the quickness to the ball that Hiura has, but Sheffield fits perfectly. Just stupidly fast hands.
  6. I went to the Timber Rattlers game last night. Jarvis looked good, and works at a real quick pace. Think he topped out at 91, but can add velocity, small stature at only 19 so room to grow. If the velocity ticks up as he fills out he could move up the chain. Seemed like he located fastball and off speed stuff pretty well. Last night I noticed they only use 2 umpires, been to a lot of minor league games and never paid attention to it I guess. Was hilarious to see a left handed batter check swing, plate ump point to the field ump who’s standing at first base, field ump stone face signals no swing on a play her view would have been totally blocked off.
  7. Nothing about that outing looked like he was struggling. The only true hit was the Donaldson single, and he got 4 outs.
  8. Braves taking a very different approach with the starter than the Brewers do. Letting Keuchel get roughed up.
  9. Any advice on some lucky lottery numbers? Well done sir, well done! So close, but no way you could have possibly predicted him getting 5 AB, lol.
  10. They gotta take the confidence from this game and keep it rolling. That frustration they have all been feeling, had to feel good to get that odd their back tonight...just and all around great performance. Slap Keuchel around and actually win a series would be a big step...
  11. I am more impressed with leading the NL in steals, than the HR count. NL is pretty empty on base stealers. Leading the league with a pace under 40 is kinda crazy. He’s 3rd in MLB though. It’s sort of the way the league is trending. Teams seem to run less and just try to slug more. Not sure if the numbers back that up. Mondessi the only one at 30....
  12. Crazy that he’s still leading the NL in steals as well. Amazing all around player. So few cover as many aspects of the game.
