  1. Where is Shaw going to play in SA? Not ideal to have him and Erceg splitting time.
  2. I like Cain and am glad we signed him, but giving a five year $80 million contract to a 30 year old was risky. This may be a mini Braun contract that handcuffs the team. Still plays good D and I think the injury had a lot to do with it. Early in the year, Brewers probably should have shut down Cain and Shaw when the injuries popped up. No reason to let them drag on into prolonged slumps.
  3. Hopefully the break gets him healthy and a reset of sorts. Hand injury might have affected him, then becomes a confidence/mental thing and just snowballs. I don’t know if that’s a long enough break to heal the hand, but may be just what he needs.
  4. What just happened??? We got the benefit of an over turn when there really wasn’t a clear view of it?? That never happens
  5. That probably has more to do with the Yankees and Red Sox than London. The field is playing a big role. They tried to fit a baseball field into a soccer stadium. It’s 380 to dead center, there are some infield pop ups that are close to going out, lol.
  6. Cain or Thames need to reach for Hiura’s walk off
  7. There have been a ton of painful walks lately, that’s for sure.
  8. Really smart play by Perez to make it back to first.
  9. Does this mean that if someone thinks a thing isn't perfect they don't like it at all? That's..... very odd thinking. I’m not saying it’s perfect. I’m saying I love the imperfections. Using electronic technology has changed the game tremendously already with instant replay. I’m not a fan of altering the game, period. Since the dead ball era, very little has changed beyond changing the mound height and adding the DH (which I don’t like either). Taking away arguing calls and replacing it with a perfect system would take away the fun of debating them, which you might not find important but I do. You seriously think that when they go to machines that nobody will ever debate ball/strike calls?? I think automated zones will remove the horrendously bad calls from the game that sometimes occur now. I firmly believe that border line calls will still be replayed and debated. I personally don’t see any downside to automated zones.
  10. Glad to see Burnes go down, and hopefully stretch out as a starter. I think he can be the equivalent of a trade at the deadline if he can get right. He has the stuff to be a successful starter. Him pitching well in the rotation or pen down the stretch is a huge key to any post season run. We don’t have enough bullets left in the minors to get multiple arms. We need internal arms to step up and Corbin has prolly the highest upside.
  11. They didn't start him against a LHP the other day either. Aguilar is a zero defensive value, positionally limited one trick pony who has been very bad at that one trick this year. If it's gotten to the point where you can't start him against LHP, he doesn't belong on the roster. This one trick your referring to is positive clubhouse presence correct?
  12. Ouch, Moustakas going to have both hands wrapped now.
  13. The umpires union publicly complained about only a 1 game suspension for Machado, yet they literally have nothing in place to reprimand any poor performance or even poor behavior from umpires.
  14. Nice bounce back inning for a guy who apparently already lost his rotation spot for giving up 2 runs, lol. Overreact much?
  15. Insurance runs would be huge. Would give Jimmy a longer leash and let him go to his pitch limit.
  16. They’re still going to get a haul, but you have to think they could’ve come out better trading him this past off-season. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess.
  17. Wow, Manny!!! Great day already. I won’t even mention how crazy it is that he was held to a single...
  18. Cain Yelich Grandal Moustakas Braun Works for me...
  19. no doubt... Imagine having to watch that day in and day out. I agree with both of you, but I would trade three World Championships at the start of the next decade if it meant I likely had to put up with some boring baseball near the end of the decade. Lol, yes. If we win one, I would gladly watch Cain and Braun play the OF in wheelchairs till the end of their contracts.
