  1. He really seemed to settle in right when that trade occurred. Maybe took a little pressure off of him.
  2. I use the website mlb66 to pull up live feeds when I’m not at home. You can get the home or away broadcast for every game. I LOVE clicking over to the away feed on days like today.
  3. Ironically Rasmussen started today and gave up 2 runs in the first. Still think he will be very good for Rays, but we really needed the life that Adames has given the offense.
  4. That and I thought he was going to get his left hand stepped on to top it off. That was all kinds of uncomfortable until he popped up.
  5. 19-10 vs. teams with winning records, 27-23 without. Leave it to Cub fans to give an intellectually lazy reason like that. The 6 Cubs fans sitting front row are pretty annoying to look at.... The Brewers do have an incredibly soft schedule in the month of June, but they have also more than held their own against the tougher teams they played early in the year.
  6. Odd timing, we don’t have a pen arm that needs to be replaced. Cousins and Sanchez have thrown well in their first few appearances. I doubt it’s to replace Boxberger, Richards, or Strickland.
  7. Traded Escudero already in the Stokes Jr deal. I actually thought there was a minimum time they had to be in the organization before being trade eligible. Escudero didn’t even make his debut yet I don’t think.
  8. Christian Driver will no longer visit campus this weekend: https://badgerswire.usatoday.com/2021/06/22/update-2022-four-star-s-christian-driver-will-no-longer-visit-campus-this-weekend/
  9. I want to be happy, but it mostly infuriates me. Why have we trotted out Godley on multiple call ups with guys like Cousins available? His stuff is clearly better. I get hes not doing this every night, but he passes the eye test 1,000 times over from what Godley brings. It’s frustrating we trot out long track records of suck instead of giving other guys a shot.
  10. So your saying we have a chance....
  11. Only the games in Milwaukee. He can work their home games but can’t go onto the court.
  12. Especially considering he has a career .281 batting average with the bases loaded (77 plate appearances), and has two triples, and two grand slams. First time the Pirates had 3 straight bases loaded walks since April of 1984. This guy is an encyclopedia of knowledge!!! Either that or he has a nerdy intern who’s good with a computer and the interweb.... Probably the second one...
  13. According to Pirates broadcaster that was the first bases loaded double of Yelich career. That is a crazy stat.
  14. On the bright side, DeGrom gave you 6 shutout innings before he was hurt, and Scherzer is a lower body injury and not his arm.
  15. Wow has that narrative been falsely overblown. Check a bio! Was Fielder too short to play first, because he’s shorter than Hiura. Keston is 6’ tall. For all of his shortcomings this season, actually being short isn’t one of them....
  16. I’ve posted multiple times that I don’t believe they can win a championship with Middleton as the #2. I think they’re better this year with Jrue, but he’s not a legit super star that pushes Middleton down to the 3rd option. I like Middleton but he’s just not the caliber of player You can win a title with him paired with Giannis as your 1/2. I’m not writing off this season simply because of the injuries in the league. If Harden and Embid miss games, then maybe. If the Nets are healthy then they’re done. They have a legit 1/1A/1B.
  17. You can’t prove it won’t so throw some salt over your shoulder or do whatever un-hexing thing is appropriate in this situation
  18. With Mellusi in the mix at RB I wonder if Braelon Allen will return to the defensive side of the ball where he’s been projected.
  19. Braelon Allen will play RB at Wisconsin instead of S/LB.
  20. Hopefully "get acclimated" means "spend time with Sara fixing swing". Just bring in Sean Thompson, or send Keston back home to spend some time with him. Even beyond the pandemic protocols, it's probably not normal to bring in outside help, but he's had success with him in the past. Maybe a return to his old mechanics would be a step in the right direction.
