  1. I don’t think the 10 day rule applies when you serve as the extra man for a double header. Sounds like Lauer may be back tomorrow, guessing he will take the start Saturday.
  2. Someone can correct me, but I think Ashby was up as an extra spot that MLB allows for doubleheaders. If Curtiss goes on the IL, that gets you back to the non-doubleheader roster limit. So, if they're bringing up Lindblom, someone else has to go down. This is the last series at Wrigley this season, so if they had to postpone tonight, they would probably try to do a doubleheader tomorrow (so, back to doubleheader roster size). The next series for the Brewers is at Pittsburgh, which isn't that long a flight, so another game tomorrow, while not ideal, isn't that much of a killer travel-wise. I thought the extra man automatically goes back down after the double header. Then Lindbloom could replace Curtiss if he goes to IL. Think that’s more likely for tomorrow though if Lindbloom threw on Sunday.
  3. Wonder if Craig will tell us who’s starting tomorrow
  4. Boxberger threw in game 1, would think he’d only be used in an emergency tonight.
  5. Is Lindbloom lined up to start tomorrow? I haven’t been checking the minor league box scores.
  6. Suter even enters fast. Camera shows Perdomo walking off the mound and in the background there’s Suter, like he teleported there.
  7. Mute point now but how on earth did Avi not get to 3rd on the Yelich groundout?
  8. Getting pretty late to make a decision. If your not on the field by 9:00 probably should be called.
  9. It’s the Cubs, they cancel on 70 and sunny some days. I fully expect to see baseball tomorrow…
  10. How long after was the knee cap? I think that’s more to do than anything. Yea, he still walks at a pretty good clip, so his pitch recognition hasn’t been terrible.
  11. So if they don’t get hits they’re not trying hard? Saying a professional athlete has “mail it in” days is an awful take. They’re at this level for a reason and playing for potentially millions on their next contracts. Guys who have mail it in days aren’t in the league long if ever.
  12. I switched to SF broadcast cuz the home one is brutal. They actually were heaping praise on Uecker that last half inning. Said one of biggest downfalls of the covid restrictions for him was not being able to travel to Milwaukee to see Ueck in person this series.
  13. It’s crazy how different Cueto’s mechanics are from pitch to pitch. Huge body turn pre pitch, no body turn at all, slide step, high leg kick, goofy pause in his leg kick to Anderson. He literally changed his delivery every pitch that inning.
  14. Is someone pranking Escobar with pants 3 sizes too small? Looks like he’s wearing skinny jeans, lol.
  15. Did they activate an arm to replace Houser? I haven’t seen an official move.
  16. That's going to be a very expensive order, and they aren't going to fetch much at the pawn shops.
  17. Reyes and Gustave maybe, and carry an extra pitcher? Lauer maybe goes down when he’s not needed for periods? Hate to see Gustave and Sanchez sent down.
  18. Easy to say in hind sight I guess, but clearly a batter too late. Back to back walks should’ve been the end of the line
