  1. Lakers - Drummond Nets - Aldredge Bucks - Austin Rivers Feel like the gap got wider
  2. I'm not a fan of the system they have to buy single game tickets. You can't even see what section it will be until you go to your shopping cart to check out. Hopefully this is just a temporary thing until they get past limited attendance. The teams/venues that actually let you see the seat map, and then click on the exact seats that you want is so nice. There are a lot of little factors I look at when picking seats. Just clicking on "infield" and then not knowing anything about section, row, or seat until checkout sucks. From what I could tell, there's no way to even pick 1st or 3rd base side if you were going to a day game where the sun is a factor.
  3. Kind of crazy to think he's only played 3 full seasons and some change. In my head he's been our shortstop for like 8 years. If he can be optioned that gives the Brewers a lot more wiggle room with the roster. I'm still hoping they open with only 12 pitchers. Gives the bats more time to sort themselves out and gives CC more flexibility with pinch hitters the first week or so.
  4. ji-man choi had an option. billy mckinney does not. i still think that one of orlando arcia or luis urias is optioned when the club goes to 13/13. If Urias is the starting SS out of spring, I doubt they pull the plug on it that quickly. Robertson is out of options, and wouldn't Arcia have enough service time to refuse an option? If so you are kind of stuck with those 3 unless you flat out cut Arcia. Going down to 4 OF would seem to be the easier route. While I hope McKinney makes the team out of spring, he would seem much more disposable a week or so in. If one of the main 4 OF get hurt you can just bring up Taylor.
  5. Alabama can’t hit a free throw to save their life.
  6. not for the brewers, as those players are likely mostly early camp minor leaguers not in major league camp and rehabbing players. expect any player destined for the big leagues or the alternate training site roster (and possibly the injured list) to fly on a charter plane after today's final cactus league game to texas, and then onward to milwaukee. don't forget that mlb wants its players to avoid commercial air travel until at least may. charter flights keep the guys in a bubble. I thought they stayed in AZ until April 12th when ATS opens. Makes sense with commercial travel
  7. Would think they would make so cuts today and leave guys in AZ when they travel back. Seems like a lot of roster trimming around the league has been done last night and this morning.
  8. Wait, he still has an MLB job? Sadly for Baltimore he will next year too. He’s 21 million of their 49 million dollar payroll and they still owe him 21 million next year. That’s a crazy payroll to look at, they will have 4 players making over $1 million on their opening day roster. That’s insane, you can’t sign crappy veterans for less than a million, as we’ve found out.
  9. Perez made the Nationals roster while Kieboom was sent down.
  10. They announced that about a week ago. Counsel said Arcia will see time at 3B and backing up Urias at SS
  11. Black threw last night and hit 99 on the gun. Its a pretty tough sell to IL him as a reliever, he doesn't need to stretch out. If he can throw in games this week, he's capable of throwing in games next week. He either makes it or not, I don't think IL is an option anymore.
  12. Yeah, you walk up to the box office. I don't think that is going to be the case, it sounds like the only method will be e-tickets. I think even at the box office you would have an e-ticket sent to you.
  13. With Lindbloom's age and only 1 year left on his deal, I can't imagine there are innings limits on him. Typically you only see that with young guys with a lot of years of control left to protect the asset. I don't think they will shut down a veteran pitcher on a short deal because he hits an innings limit.
  14. Badgers hired former Cowboys RB coach Gary Brown as their new RB coach. Don't know much about him personally, but nice to have a guy with a successful NFL background. He has coached DeMarco Murray and Zeke in their NFL rushing title seasons.
  15. I'm glad Freddy is getting a shot at the rotation. We essentially have 6 starters right now. They will all get a chance to start games at some point this season, and we will probably have to use more than just those 6. I'm not sure it really matters where they start out too much if you have to use them all as starters at some point. I do think that Houser's drastic L/R splits do tend to make him appealing for the pen, where you can somewhat control who he is pitching to. I'm sure he will see loaded left handed lineups when possible this year as a starter.

  17. Hoby Milner says hello. Granted he will revert back to career norms most likely, but he has thrown really well this spring. I'm guessing he's at least equal right now to any "lefty off the street".
  18. Brewers Cardinals Reds Cubs MVP Bat - Yelich MVP Arm - Burnes Garcia and Narvaez have redemption years. Williams disappoints - Not because he's terrible, but more it's impossible to match what he did last year.
  19. Besides getting rid of the Augustin contract, they essentially made that trade because Tucker has the ability to defend at a very high level against #1's. If you're looking at box scores he probably won't show up much besides an occasional 3. I haven't seen enough of him to know how well he's defended since joining the Bucks, but my guess is once he settles into the system he will be very useful in the playoffs. Even if it's only 12-15 minutes per game.
  20. No, a scholarship player would still be on scholarship. The only one left to make a statement though is Anderson, so won’t be much to sort out.
  21. Milner has put himself into the conversation. Dude just keeps posting zeros.
  22. Sounds like Davison will not be returning either. They have an odd hole at PG. You have Chucky and Bowman I guess, both who have never played in a college game. You would think they would almost have to pick up a transfer PG with some experience. Even if Anderson stays, he's not a starting PG in the Big 10, he just gets over whelmed physically if he had to handle the ball for 30+ minutes.
  23. Hope it's true, it gets annoying watching games on ESPN with cameras zooming in on obvious spots on a pitcher's arm, neck, or hat yet nothing is done about it. I find it hard to believe that they will actually follow through with this though. Between this rule and deadening the baseball, it sort of has the makings of more balls in play. Your making pitchers more hittable, yet making it harder to hit a home run. In theory it should make the game more entertaining, but I'm in the believe it when I see it boat.
  24. It absolutely will impact young people watching baseball. My son was 5 last summer and started to be a Yelich fan, although he called him Lelich. He wouldn't watch the whole games, but if Yelich was batting he would run in and watch the at bat. If I was watching a game and Yelich hit a home run I would rewind and yell for him to come in and watch, and he would think it was live. He just started to show interest in the Brewers. I went from Dish Network, to our city cable, then to youtube tv just switching to follow available FSWI channels. I dropped youtube tv when football season was done. We don't have Spectrum available in our area, and I'm not sticking another dish on our house to pick up Direct TV. It will directly impact how much my son is exposed to Brewers telecasts, and if he's not seeing it, it's going to drop off his radar. It is going to affect the overall fan base in the future if this persists.
  25. Not me. This is what I think it will look like. C: Narvaez, Pina 1B: Hiura, Vogelbach 2B: Wong SS: Urias 3B: Shaw OF: Yelich, Cain, Garcia, JBJ UT: Robertson, Arcia Add McKinney to the list and I think that's it as well. They can start with 12 pitchers for the first week at least if not longer. They have enough long guys to eat innings, plus 6 essentially starters, and an off day each week in April. I would personally save the extra bat as long as I could. Once you have a starter with a short start that eats up the pen a bit, then add an arm if needed.
