  1. Automated zone had it as a strike, but it was caught horribly which usually means you don’t get the call. Suter had that same pitch location and catch called a ball.
  2. I put one of his Brewer home runs side by side with 2019 on my computer monitor and they’re awfully similar. Maybe that’s why it was a HR. Unfortunately people don’t really YouTube strikeouts, so tough to get true comparison I guess.
  3. I mean he could maybe be good elsewhere if another team has a hitting coach that can see how awful of a swing he has and maybe try to fix it. Look back at previous years highlights. It’s the same swing in years where he’s hit really well. He didn’t change it when he got here.
  4. I thought Suter was the right call, I just thought in a short series they’d load up on arms and at even a remote sign of a struggling pitcher move on to the next guy.
  5. Don’t get why people are mad about the interview, it clearly didn’t seem to bother Turner, seemed like he was having fun with it. I’m sure players aren’t doing it against their will.
  6. Because they have no one else. Who you gonna put in? Literally anyone else, but sadly the 12 man pen probably limits how early Counsel can get him. That roster make up is baffling.
  7. I feel about a 7-1 Dodgers win. I hope they can keep it close, I would gladly be tired all day tomorrow, but don’t see it happening tonight.
  8. Rodgers cadence plus zero crowd noise is a nightmare for opposing pass rushers. That combo for sure makes life easier for our OL. Plus he’s getting the ball out quicker, and not scrambling around as much. A lot of things adding up to help out that line early on.
  9. So they delayed the NYY/CLE game until right when it was going to start raining????
  10. Nate Orf in the game for the A’s
  11. Lindblom and Houser have been consistently terrible to start games all year long. They'll need to start at some point in the playoffs, but not in a 3 game series against the Dodgers that is bookended by 2 off days on either end. Game 2 is Woodruff's game. Count on him for 7-8 innings or 110 pitches. Win game 1 at all costs, then count on Woodruff and either Williams or Hader (but preferably not both) to go in game 2 after Woody. Count on Williams and Hader to cover innings 7-9 in game 1. So now you are covering the first 6 innings of game one with your entire pitching staff other than Woodruff, Williams and Hader (And Burnes/Anderson). There is no possible world where either Adrian Houser OR Josh Lindblom should be pitching in those 6 innings when you've got Suter, Peralta, Topa, Claudio, Yardley, Knebel, Rasmussen and Black to cover those 6 innings--and have guys left over. That's 8 guys for 6 innings. To be quite honest, if we somehow manage to have a lead in Game 1, then Williams and Hader should each throw 2 innings. With that being said, if I'm Counsel I try to get a lead through 5. If you are purely looking at 5 innings I think some combo of Suter, Topa, Yardley, and Knebel can cover 5 innings. If that group gets through 5 clean, which I know is unlikely, then you throw Williams and Hader 2 each and put all your apples on Woodruff in Game 2.
  12. Add in Degura as well after he missed the last two. He looked good in the opener.
  13. Worked out as well as it could. Losing the challenge took :35 off the clock and we got the score. Now I need to close my eyes for the next 2:00 of prevent defense and forthcoming onside kick.....
  14. If it's a TD they will reset the clock.
  15. WHY?????? You have 3 more downs. I get that nothing is guaranteed, but man, I think i'd rather have the time off the clock.
  16. I flinched twice, and I'm sitting in my recliner.... That cadence is ridiculous.
  17. Nice chunk plays, now finish the drive.
