    You don’t bench Lara for striking out against Skubal, just like you don’t bench Pratt for an error the other night. They’re the future of the franchise wether you like them or not, and the experience they gain this year will help them in future years, like 7 more future years they they’re under contract for.

    Differt level of pitcher than Woodruff, don’t care about his career accomplishments on mostly bad teams. You really don’t think our rookie pitchers would’ve picked up some pitching knowledge from being around him for a few months?

    Length not a huge factor tonight, everyone is fresh and we only have tonight and tomorrow before another off day. Starter length will be a little more important during the 3 straight games LA.

    The best aspect of a Skubal trade may have been him simply being around our young pitchers for a couple months. They could have soaked up a lot of knowledge. Got Woody as a vet who’s been through a lot but Skubal on a different level.

    I think we have the pitching to have a punchers chance. Miz was good last year, but not Cy Young good. Henderson is a very legit #2. I said all along that I thought the only way would have a chance in this series would be if Miz and Henderson were available to start 1,2,6,7. However, if I had to bet my house on it, I would probably still lean Dodgers. I also think the 2-3-2 format is horrendous. No way should a higher seed ever be trailing if both teams hold serve on their home court. 3-3-1 would be much better IMO.

    Watched the last two innings again this morning for fun. Didn’t realize it live but the broadcast didn’t show Uribe coming off the mound. Kind of a buzz kill to not see his celebration.

    Really don’t think they use Miz, need him ready for game 1 vs Dodgers. Also if you use him and somehow lose then you’re screwed for Friday. We have 2 innings left and our best 2 relievers left!

    May be considering that because they were both up and throwing last inning which is really early for Megill if he’s only being considered for the 9th

    Absolutely HUGE for Ashby to go 3 innings here!!! Two run lead with Uribe and Megill left in the pen!!!

    Only 21 pitches now, my thoughts too. Have Uribe ready for the top of the order, but let Ashby keep rolling.
