This isn’t really new stuff though, they’ve done it this year against lineups with good lefties early. They used it against the Phillies and Nationals and it worked well. The July 11th game against the Nationals DL Hall started and went 3 innings and Priester followed him and pitched the last 6 innings.
If you automatically trade every good player in their last year, nobody will want to play here. We treated Willy as well as he treated us. It ended amicably, and that type of thing helps keep the positive culture the Brewers have.
I feel like we really need to score again. I don’t want the Cubs to finish the game with any sort of momentum.
At least we won’t have to face Cy Civale for a few games now.
Good outing all things considered but no reason for him to pitch this inning. You don’t need 6 innings out of starters with the off days in the playoffs. Could’ve had 5 strong innings without running him up to 100 pitches.
Didn’t look terrible but he took his helmet off in frustration and body language just look like he deflated. Could tell he knew he was coming out. He wasn’t limping badly or anything but his body language wasn’t good.
Off days in a playoff series suck, it negates one of the things the Brewers do well. Taking pitches and getting to the pen early is a strength in the regular season much more than in a playoff series.
When I got charged the first time I cancelled my subscription. Just felt it was safer that way, I can always renew the day of the opener if I choose to.
Yea, I had a reversal of the charge this morning now too. Glad it was only an error if that is what it was. Charging for next summer's package 6 months in advance seemed sketchy at best.
I just saw my credit card was charged for next years renewal. I had just checked the renewal last week and read that it would renew at the start of the next spring season. I fully planned on renewing next year, but getting charged for next year before this year is even over seems pretty shady.
The killer was the bubble screen, which is just a terrible call. Once you get to the 10 the DB’s are up too close. That had no chance. Result says tie, sure feels like a loss.
