  1. Mitchell seems to be on the receiving end of bad calls quite often…
  2. Was at the Trats game today, he didn’t pass the eyeball test. Velocity was 90-92 consistently, think I saw 93 a couple times. Struggled to locate and gave up a lot of hard contact. Had bases loaded 2 of his 4 innings. The lower velocity is probably a little concerning although it wasn’t very warm today. The other teams starter was sitting 94-95 though. Woody probably multiple minor league starts in front of him yet.
  3. With this start, nobody would’ve blamed you for being hammered by the 4th inning….
  4. Percentage varies a little depending on what source you use, but all of the teams you listed spend roughly 60% or more of their revenue on salaries. The Mets over 80. The Brewers are around 41 percent of revenue on salaries….
  5. Won’t help him pull pitches 8 inches down and away…
  6. Churio speed vs Yellich, you wonder if he gets to that? Yellich came close to getting there and ending that inning.
  7. Daniel Freitag entered the portal. Was a big recruit but never found his way into consistent playing time.
  8. This is crazy. It’s 50 degrees all weekend which typically doesn’t equate a bunch of home runs. Maybe our pitchers have been that bad, but it’s getting to the point where you wonder how much of an impact those bats are having.
  9. Pitching staff is on life support and we’re 20 innings into the season. Need some arms to step up and soon. Also probably going to see a whole lot of teams start using those Yankee bats…
  10. SIX kids from Wisconsin ended up earning All-American status (Top 8) this year in D1. Stephen Buchanan - Iowa (Loyal) Champion Mitchell Mesenbrink - Penn State (Arrowhead) Champion Keegan O'Toole - Missouri (Arrowhead) 2nd Place Parker Keckeisen - Northern Iowa (Nicolet) 2nd Place Matty Bianchi - Arkansas LR (Two Rivers) 7th Place Gavin Drexler - NDSU (Stratford) 8th Place Wisconsin had a few others lose one or two matches from placing as well. The amount of really good college wrestlers that the state is producing is impressive!
  11. Yea, he got the assignment because of his name. Shame for the announcers who are actually good at their job. This broadcast is painful.
  12. That’s a horrid defensive call. Had 3 safeties 30 yards deep, just absolutely gave them a free 15 yards. I was screaming at my TV before the snap.
  13. I won't miss Williams, he was one of my least favorite Brewers players. I just had a hard time liking him which says a lot because of how good he was. Glad to get a rotation piece. I think Durbin is a coin flip, but would think he projects as a bench piece at minimum given the extremely low strike out rate.
  14. Was confirmed on ESPN now that players and coaches got pepper sprayed. Seems like a pretty big overreaction for an officer to break up a fight on a football field with pepper spray.
  15. It almost looked like one of the security guards sprayed pepper spray. Multiple players and coaches went to water jugs to wash their face and looked like they couldn’t breathe. Was really stupid to take the flag after the first scrum was broke up and try to parade it through the OSU players again as they went towards the locker room. Could very well see some suspensions after that which would affect OSU way more than MI.
  16. Williams had zero awareness of the clock, standing there like he had all the time in the world. I hate the Bears and even I was screaming “Snap it” at the TV, LOL. He has the physical tools, but just seems to mentally check out at times.
  17. This team has shown flashes of improvement but just not winning any big games. Tonight looked like a step backwards, PSU lost multiple key guys in the first half and still dominated the 2nd half. I’m starting to think Fickell doesn’t survive through next year, which has a brutal schedule. schedule gets slightly easier in 26, and is set up nicely in 27. Sad to realize the once perennial top 25 program is looking 3 years out to see a chance at a playoff spot realistically.
  18. Yep, he’s not the answer. In the era of the transfer portal there’s no use sitting on guys to save a red shirt either, time to use the remaining games to get young guys some experience. Having a QB who can run sure would help the run game as well, as the PSU backup is proving.
  19. PSU just better in the trenches on both sides, starting to take over in the 2nd half
  20. Their backup QB looks very comfortable in the pocket and works through progressions really well. Penn St winning in the trenches probably helps that along though.
  21. Locke sure looks like he predetermines every throw, I can’t remember seeing him work through a progression the entire game.
  22. I didn’t kick my dog, but he got yelled at for no reason, I’ll apologize!
  23. I was born in 1983… still waiting. This is the biggest gut punch loss I can remember, maybe cuz it’s fresh.
  24. After the HR someone should’ve been up, that run is huge
