  1. My understanding is they cannot be on 40 man roster... I think everyone has there hopes way too high on the PTBNL. I'm not expecting much.
  2. I'd say Hader 1, Ortiz and Bickford 2/3 in whatever order... but interesting to see that he is that high or Ortiz (or maybe he's just that low on Hader and Bickford).
  3. Can't copy and paste Keith Law's article since its Insider... but a couple quotes... "Brinson, the Rangers' first-round pick in 2012, a plus-plus defernder who has great bat speed and strong wrists to generate big power. He's highly athletic with outstanding raw tools, but hasn't drawn a walk in over two weeks and has just a .282 OBP in this injury interrupted season... he has 25-30 homer potential along with that great defense, but he carries a lot of risk" On Ortiz (who was on Law's midseason top 50 list), "High upside starting pitching prospect who's been holding his own in double-A at age 20. Ortiz has an above-average fastball and plus changeup already, with the breaking ball a work in progress... He immediately becomes the Brewers' No. 1 pitching prospect."
  4. Why would this just be for Luc??? Think of the Cleveland deal... this is tremendously more in return.
  5. Totally disagree with this. Why is that? Both prospects we got from TX are higher rated than the CLE deal. This is quality.
  6. I'd rather have a prospect with upside. Throw whatever pitcher you want in the bullpen for the rest of the year.
  7. Jeff Passan Source: Jay Bruce to Mets is done.
  8. Bickford in A+... Hader in AAA... I'd put Hader above him being more advanced, also seems that Hader has higher upside.
  9. Makes no sense because they are demanding a pitcher to take Lucroy. If we're adding Jeffress the return better be huge after seeing the Smith deal.
  10. How would everyone feel about a 1-for-1 Lucroy for Gallo swap? I have a feeling that's what we're going to get.
  11. You said that Milwaukee and Cleveland had a deal, which was likely to have been the case anyway. You declined to name any of the players going back. That's not really breaking anything. I declined because I had sarcastic quotes. Why keep posting if people are going to jar with you. Im sorry, maybe you have inside info and maybe not... but I could have easily said a trade with Indians was happening and then declined to give names. You may have sources, but stop throwing it around because you haven't really shown anything of value with your "information".
  12. This doesn't sound good for Stearns. Insist on Frazier /Zimmer and then pull in Mejia as the second piece He underplayed his hand if this is the case. I've seen numerous people that think Mejia has more upside than either Frazier or Zimmer. I have no problem with Mejia as the primary piece.
  13. Source: #Brewers getting fourth player from #Indians for Lucroy, lesser prospect. No other players heading to CLE.
  14. I don't post much, but I check out the link reports daily. Love the great work everyone here puts in!
  15. I don't think Parra has ever been considered just an average defender. He's a gold glover.
  16. Why do you say that superfly? Not trading Parra would be foolish at this point, but I could see Gomez staying put.
  17. Thank you guys for always staying on top of these updates throughout the year. I don't get on the board as much as I used to, but I love coming here and checking out the Minor League updates.
  18. What didn't you like about how he was called up? He was on a good run in AAA and when brought up the Brewers inserted him into the starting rotation and he had success. I don't get what is wrong about that.
  19. Wow... this better be far below the asking price. Don't like losing the pick.
  20. Thornburg got all messed up when they moved him to the pen last year. I very highly doubt the Brewers will use him in that role to start the season.
