    It looks to me like Smith played in five games this year so he can not redshirt this year. I think you are allowed to play in four games to redshirt. But I'm not sure.

    "William Contreras, under contract through 2028". I think he meant Quero may not get much play with Contreras still around.

    Today Jim Duquette and Mike Ferron interviewed Dino Ebel the father of Brady. It sure sounded like Brady has already agreed to sign. Dino said the Brewers are going to keep Brady at shortstop to start. Every comment about playing in Milwaukee's system sounded like a forgone conclusion. Dino also said Brady is walking around the house in a Brewers hat. Good interview.

    What about Harrison Bodendorf from Oklahoma State? He's having an incredible year. I'd be interested in your thoughts.

    His adviser (agent) had a talk with the coach after the Arizona game. He is being abused. But the previous two years at Hawaii it was the opposite story.

    Harrison Bodendorf threw 10 innings in a win against #24 Arizona on Friday night. The Friday before it was 7 shutout innings against then #22 Kansas State with 12Ks. Please, Brewers, take him in the later rounds of the draft!

    A friend of mine knows Gavin Fien and his family pretty well. He was telling me that Gavin should be quite signable. On another note, this same friend has a son pitching at Oklahoma State this season and he's draft eligible, Harrison Bodendorf. Six foot five lefty sitting about 91 with very good secondaries. I'm hoping the Crew draft him somewhere in the draft. I'd love to follow him with our system.

    According to the Milwaukee paper, Narveson's lone miss during camp was from 58 yards. Also I believe their is no separate cap for individual PS players, but the money does count under the cap.

    I'm reading Jones had a 17.5M cap hit and 11.1M in salary for this year. So they're saving 5.2M on the cap and over ten million in cash. That is all per Packers Wire.

    I like the idea of promoting Walker McKinven. It sounds like the players respect him and value his input. I think he's a good teacher, as commented by the pitchers and catchers. He's also young and can grow with the young roster.

    He's not really a friend, I just like following local guys. He ended up getting drafted by the Yankees in the third round.

    There's a pitcher out here close to me who I'd love to see the Brewers draft in round two or three. His name's Kyle Carr. A junior college lefty who throws in the mid to high nineties. The Brewers seem to like there JC kids.
