  1. Drat. Did that last pitch to Thames sink. Go Lo!!
  2. Listening to the pre-game and him mispronounce Spangenberg 3 times was teeth grindingly bad. We're getting the Marlin annoucers. They are singing Yeli's praises of course.
  3. Any idea on when Woody will be back?
  4. I'd rather be us than the Cubs right now. They are riding on fumes and have 7 games coming up against the Cards and 3 against the Reds on the road.
  5. We get all the Marlins games down here so we'll have to watch Fox Sports Florida for a while at least to listen to their analysis and what they'll say about Yeli.
  6. It would be even more fun if the WC teams could play more than one game. They could make a 3 game series with the second WC team getting one of home games if they won one of the first 2.
  7. If you watch any Cubs game when they are on the road they get hearty cheers no matter where they go. That team just has a large national following - probably because they were on WGN all those years. The Crew should get a lot of cheers at Marlins Park this week. A lot of WI transplants down here will most likely attend (we can't go because of other commitments.). The Marlins just don't get a lot of their fans to attend their games.
  8. Gamel is a HUGE upgrade over Santana and it isn't even funny.
  9. I don't have a problem with his glove but if you can' bat what good are you? Shaw is good defensively too.
  10. I haven't been to MP in years but I can hear in my head "drive home safely" right now. He will be missed.
  11. There will be more Brewers fans there so they will hear more cheering for them than the home team. Watching Marlins games (we get them all down here) is rather sad. NOBODY goes to these games so the stands are practically empty.
  12. A guy who might not have played a lot of seasons with the Crew wanted to retire as a Brewer and is now an analyst on the team's television network. If this is how he feels we should welcome him with open arms.
  13. What a difference a year makes. Losing Knebel and Jeffress never returning to form was a big blow to the pen. Peralta and Burnes not performing well and Nelson struggles along with losing our ace Woody for all these weeks was a killer. Aguilar was so disappointing he was shipped off to Tampa. Shaw lost it at the plate. Cain was beat up all year. Moose too. I can't think of many teams with these kinds of issues overcoming these challenges and making the playoffs so if we somehow manage to sneak into a WC spot it will be a bloody miracle.
  14. No offense but those who are suggesting we got robbed in this deal make me laugh. We ended up with arguably the best player in the NL and possibly the second/third best player in the entire league. smh
  15. Unless we make the playoffs I doubt he'll win it this year. IMO he is the MVP. The other teams with leading MVP candidates would still be winning if they weren't playing at a ridiculous level. However, many of those who vote for baseball's MVPs lean towards the guy on a winning team. This year the AL winner will be Trout because he is so head and shoulders above the rest of that field in the AL.
  16. You should have typed that in blue...
  17. You have to wonder what the hell happened here. Two good seasons and then he is absolute garbage.
  18. He l Isn't the only one on this crew...
  19. Just be glad you didn't spend Labor Day in the Bahamas...
  20. All I know is we are blessed to have this talented player on our favorite team.
  21. I suppose as long as we are mathematically in the running for that 2nd WC spot we might as well go for it. I do think 2020 might be a better year for us.
  22. The solution? Use pitch tracks for balls and strikes or don't show us the damn box...
  23. They showed a couple of the spreads on the national broadcast today that they could. I'll say one thing - Yelich has zero body fat.
