Let's hope Burnes has a bounce back outing and the bats get going. This losing streak is getting concerning, frankly, and we need to have a good feeling before hitting the road again.

You may be right where his issue is between the ears. Hitting 9th or leading off is not a bad idea. CC should try something.

It is sadly shocking that a once feared power hitter has never been the same since he broke his kneecap. How long, if ever, will it take for CC to take him out of the 3 hole and place him further down the lineup?

We had the Padres number before we became devastated by all these injuries. Right now we have 6 starters, including 2 from our rotation, sidelined. Not many clubs can overcome these kinds of loses all at the same time.

Well, we've beat the Padres a lot this season. Burnes wasn't sharp but his defensive buddies did him no favors. Thank goodness we have 5 innings to go.
