  1. 3 for 32 with 1 double. Pretty bad stretch again. 2 hrs since Aug 1st. He hasn't been the same since he shattered his kneecap. This is one hell of a stretch...
  2. Then he'll fit in with the rest of our hitters.
  3. I won’t be doing it if they’re playing the Giants, and I’ll be conflicted if they’re playing the Dodgers. I remember in 2011 right after the Brewers beat the DBacks to win their series, I settled in to watch the Cardinals play the Phillies. By all logic I should have been hoping for the Cardinals to win because it would give the Brewers home field advantage in the NLCS and eliminate the team that had been by far the powerhouse of the league all season. But, as the game unfolded, I found that I was hoping the Cardinals would lose. My distaste for the Cardinals, combined with the fact that they had beaten the Brewers 5 of 6 in September, gave me a bad feeling about facing them in the NLCS. This year is playing out in eerily similar fashion and I have a feeling I’m going to feel the same way once I see the Cardinals on the field. I would take my chances with the Giants beating the Dodgers in the CS rather than risking another utterly disgusting Cardinals World Series appearance. This year we might be better off on the road...
  4. Isn't Paul Chryst calling the O plays this year? This clown drives me crazy. His demeanor is more like a librarian than a collegiate HC. Watching this team on O is a real snooze fest.
  5. They have only drafted one DL player (Kenny Clark) in the first couple of rounds. Most of the DL guys are later round picks and/or UDFA. If you aren't willing to invest in your DL this is what you are stuck with. Not having Z. Smith out there hurts their pass rush big time too.
  6. Right now they are. They are hitting their stride at the right time and our bats have gone cold. Again. Our pitching is still very good but if you can't score it is hard to win games, especially in the postseason. We might still win this division but if we continue to stink at the plate all of this regular season success will be for naught. Right this second the Cards are the best team ever, winners of 10 straight and an absolute juggernaut!!! At least until they lose their next game, at which point will likely be the same time when the Brewers basically clinch the division and the Cards will still be double digit games behind in the standings and need to run through two buzzsaws out west just to reach the NLCS. We might still win this division.....c'mon. Perhaps my frustrations with our current offensive struggles caused me to type about winning the division but you have to admit we can't go into the post season hitting like this. I feel sorry for Woody. He's been pitching lights out for the most part but gets zero run support from his teammates.
  7. Let's hope we don't get swept.

  9. It is a shame what Yelich has become. This isn't your run of the mill slump. I fear he may never be what he once was.
  10. We got spanked by the Cards in game one a few days ago and then took the series. Perhaps history will repeat itself?
  11. I feel for Anderson. He hasn't got a break from injuries this year.
  12. Yes, if someone told me last week we'd take 3 of the 4 games in SF I'd be happy.
  13. How do these crappy umps keep their jobs?? Good lord...
  14. It is nuts. The al central is one of the worst divisions in baseball and we struggle against these clowns. We made the twinkies' pitchers look like Cy Young candidates last night. So far we have split with them. We got swept by the Royals. Lord knows how we'll do when we play the Tigers again and the Guardians. Talk about playing down to your competition. The only decent team there is the White Sox and we took that series. smh
  15. Don't forget to add Burnes!
  16. https://www.brewcrewball.com/2021/8/13/22622995/milwaukee-brewers-christian-yelich-needs-an-adjustment-outside-the-strike-zone
  17. Yelich 2020-21: 218/365/386 (107 wRC+) Average P 2021: 109/214/083 (-20 wRC+) Since Yelich broke his knee cap his hitting has been 7% better than league average & 127% better than the average pitcher. Perhaps comparing Yelich's hitting prowess to a pitcher was a tad extreme but he once was an elite hitter and he isn't right now. I understand players go thru slumps but this one is longer than usual.
  18. We get all of the Marlins games down here but after it got out of hand we changed the channel. I hope the flubs are back to being the lovable losers.
