  1. It’s possible this is one of the things Stearns was referring to when he said “we have some ideas”... Via Will Sammon: In his first inning with the Brewers, Hunter Strickland threw more sliders than fastballs. That happened once with the Angels. For Strickland while with Brewers, that could be the pitch to watch. He threw a scoreless inning. Strickland looked okay out there last night...
  2. I would imagine that the vast majority of MLB teams are in a similar, if not worse boat when it comes to their 4th and 5th starter spots. Agreed. We are really fortunate to have 3 really great starters in our rotation. There is an article about Freddy, Woody and Burnes on mlb.com today about our 3 headed monster. https://www.mlb.com/news/corbin-burnes-freddy-peralta-brandon-woodruff-dominant-for-brewers
  3. That move surprised me. Avi is hot bat right now but perhaps the Reds coaches felt Yeli could start hitting any time now?
  4. My friend here is a Yankees fan and she was thrilled when Tampa traded Adames away.
  5. Ha! Sure looks like he’s from that generation. I had to look him up… born in 1995. I’m surprised he’s that old. Geez, I must be getting old when 1995 seems like yesterday...
  6. Vogelbach, Narvaez and Shaw are pathetically slow. Why move Adames down? CC just has to mess with the line-up daily. I hate that! Yes, what is with that? If you find a lineup that works what is wrong with sticking with it?
  7. Yes, I am also feeling better about Yelich lately. Fingers crossed...
  8. Hiura was also killing it down there… Yes but he is absolutely not killing it up here. Green hasn’t had the chance to stink up here yet, but he deserves the opportunity.
  9. He originally made it but when he was losing his balance his foot came off the bag. That was a heady play and throw to 3rd by the Nats infielder tho.
  10. It’s crazy how many hittable pitches he flat out misses Maybe instead of sending him back to Nashville they should send him to an eye doctor...
  11. They’re desperate for him to be the guy he was in the summer of 2019, but like Shaw that guy doesn’t seem to be in there anymore. Probably should go back to AAA and continue to work I don't know what going more back down to Nashville is gonna do for him.
  12. Maybe if he doesn't screw around bouncing the ball, etc., and just shoots he might have more success at the line. His present routine isn't seem to be working. (Perhaps he is over-thinking this. He can't be any worse.) If he could shoot 65% that game most likely doesn't go into in OT.
  13. Even if we entertain the idea Yelich benefited from organizational sign stealing resulting in MVP type seasons why wouldn't he at least play to his offensive numbers from his time as a Marlin if the Brewers stopped using those methods? It's not like he was garbage before coming to Milwaukee. I just don't buy this hearsay as evidence. QFT
