  1. The sad thing is, there was no doubt in my mind he was swinging. I was saying in my head, "Don't swing, don't swing, don't swing," over and over again, but I knew he was going for the tie. Just frustrating. Frustrating and predictable.
  2. Wasn't there a game with the Pirates and Diamondbacks with this same situation? The Pirates lost because the ump said the Diamondback's player was doing a natural slide (even though he had two arms up.) The D-backs walked off because of that call. The only difference I see here is Jean may not have been able to touch 2nd. I thought he was way off the base at first glance, but I think he could have possibly reached it with his left hand - tough to say though. Anyway, I'm just confused why the above play in the Pirates game is called one way, and in this game called another.
  3. That was right down the pipe to Gordon a couple pitches ago, but called a ball. Then a little infield single. Should have been a K. Now a SB and an error. Not a good start.
  4. Honestly, this has the feel of another shutout. The offense looks out of it. They've been swinging at crap lately, and seem to be afraid to work a count or draw a walk. Frustrating to watch. Even more frustrating when the pitching is bad, too.
  5. 3-0 seems insurmountable with the way the offense is going. I mean 4-0. Lohse has been awful the last couple starts.
  6. This game is feeling a bit shutout-y. Please prove me wrong and score 20 runs.
  7. Patient AB leads to a walk. Would be nice to see a bit ore of that... Come on, Mark!
  8. Need to put that in the dirt, Wily. Not a good 0-2 pitch (it was low at least, but too far inside, and pretty much in the wheelhouse of most lefties.)
  9. Well, looks like the Brewers are gonna have trouble scoring runs again today. I thought Arrieta at least looked a bit hittable yesterday. Hendricks is just mowing the Brewers down with ease so far. The Crew are helping by swinging at some bad pitches, but Hendricks looks on his game. Edit: And he's only at 45 pitches. Could easily throw a CG at this pace. Need to work some counts.
  10. I've thought so as well. He looks as fast as ever in the outfield, but slower on the basepaths for some reason.
  11. Thank you, K-Rod! I couldn't take another half inning or more of Davey Nelson. Brutal. Great to get the first win of the series. Always takes a little pressure off.
  12. Castro even double pumped and Braun was still out by a mile!
  13. Dumb idea by Braun, dumb send by Sedar. That was just bad all around. Davis picks 'em up!
  14. I do have my worries about the Cubs series coming up. Smushed in between two big series with the Dodgers, it kind of has the classic "overlook" feel to it. They've been a bit more competitive since the Brewers last saw them, but hopefully 3/4 is accomplished.
  15. Just tuned into the game and checked out the game summary. Saw the Brewers hit a couple Dodgers, including Kershaw. Anything that'll carry over to LA, or were they obvious accidents?
  16. Will got the outs far too quickly for any negativity. I had my complainin' keys ready!
  17. I kind of did, but he's a good utility player that'll be around for a while, so I'm OK with him blowing one game. I just really wanted the Brewers to take this, by any means necessary. ANY. MEANS. NECESSARY. I'll take the errors. The first one was kind of a bad hop, but should have been a DP. Second one it looked like he overran a bit. Third he just rushed it. But I'll take it!
  18. Insurance runs! I like having Parra on the team. No clue what Gomez was doing. Puig was going home the whole time and he froze almost until the catcher had the ball. Bad baserunning, but I'll take the runs!
  19. Hah, thank you Turner. Wow, should be three errors on him. Edit: Add on, please?
  20. Well, that was Les Cousins Dangereux. That looked like a safety squeeze unless Weeks was just slow on the jump. Glad it worked out, but that was frightening.
  21. I didn't see which lefty the Brewers put in, but they better not let him face Puig. It'd be a bit silly to pull Wooten so the lefty could face Gordon, Puig, and Gonzalez, instead of leaving Wooten in for Gordon and Puig, then going with a lefty for Gonzalez..
