  1. So its $21mil for a year and a half, not 1 year.....
  2. Plus the $5M buyout in 2021 brings the total to approx. $21M for one year. Leake isn't worth even 1/2 that much. Dont think you did your math right, it would be $11mil for 2020 plus the $5mil buyout so $16Mil
  3. And the thing about Gray is he is top 10 in WAR this season
  4. According to sportsline, brewers have the best odds to trade for Noah if he is traded
  5. Not entirely correct. xFIP and FIP in general puts more weight into strike outs. Since Davies doesn't strike out a lot his xFIP and FIP will always be higher. I really like xFIP and FIP but not every pitcher that is not a K machine is bad. Davies is more of a pitcher that has to live on the corners and place his pitches correctly and there is nothing wrong with that but xFIP and FIP are not going to like Davies at all because of the low strike out rate. The big thing for Davies is to keep his BB/9 and his HR/9 rates low if he does that he will be just as successful as someone like Stroman. Look a Dallas Keuchel last year, 6.5 SO/9 and still had a xFIP under 4
  6. Here is the SNY article on it... Mets sent exec Ruben Amaro Jr. to scout Brewers, who are interested in trading for Zack Wheeler, Noah Syndergaard Beautiful! We want Thor! We want Thor! We want Thor! Was a huge fan of Thor but he hasn’t improved The last two year... from everything I read, guy is dumb as a box of rocks. He’s a thrower, not a pitcher.
  7. FWIW Stroman has given up 49 runs in 110.2 IP, Davies 42 in 109.2. Poor guy is like Rodney Dangerfield around here. Your really going to use that as your argument? Yesterday is a perfect example why Davies xFIP is 5.19 If it’s wasnt for Cain and our defense, Davies would have given up like 5 runs. Stroman xFIP is a whole run less
  8. Woodruff is a TOR arm, and Davies is pretty dang close to that level. They could use more depth in the rotation to be sure, but I don't think it's a good idea to give up a huge amount of capital just because the guy you're trading for has a recognizable name. Davies is no where near TOR arm...Get out of here with that non-sense.
  9. Why would they be scouting players on the 25 man roster - Only players that they would see, that could be moved and make sense is Arcia or Peralta, but they have rosario to play SS
  10. Nick Anderson from Marlins 29yrs old - 4.24 ERA, but 2.77 FIP, 2.97 xFIP 14.4 SO/9
  11. 4.47 FIP and 5.51 xFIP He is basically a worst version of Guerra
  12. We will need Shaw to play third next year. Why? There will be plenty of 3B options for next season. Mouse has an 11m mutual option next year with a 3 mil buy out, so im assuming that if the Brewers want him back and Mouse doesn't, they dont have to pay him? So lets just say that the Brewers have to pay him the $3m option, plus you add Shaw's ARB of $4.5-5, your esentially paying $8m for a 3b.
  13. That is what happens when you stare at batting average numbers and ignore everything else in an effort to make a point. Not really
  14. So last two months > crappy 2016, 2017, 2018 and the start of 2019....got it Crappy? Grisham has literally never had a below average offensive season. YES - CRAPPY 2016 - .690 OPS 2017 - .708 OPS 2018 - .693 OPS Between 2016-2018 he struck out 29% of the time - you cant have an OPS under .800 and strike out that percentage of time. All good if he turns it around and live up to the 1st rd pick, but lets not judge him on 2-3 months. If this current version is the player that he will become, than yes, its an over pay. There was a reason why he dropped completely off the top 100 sites after the 2016 season. If you are a good/elite prospect, you never drop off sites.
  15. Would Kipnis be the salary dump Clev. wants to move Bauer? He would cost the Brewers $9.5 - 10M for this year including his $2.5M buyout. I can't see any reason why the Brewers would want him otherwise. Kipnis isn't capable of playing SS so he doesn't fit as the backup INF. Gamel is better in the OF so he doesn't fit there either. Stearns would have to DFA him immediately. Bauer would be about $6M this year and being arby eligible, around $17-19M next year. In your deal the Brewers would be putting out basically $32M - $34M for 1 1/2 years of Bauer. I don't know if the price is right for that. Kipnis to bring the cost down on Bauer. Bauer is costing Turang + Lutz unless you bring the value coming back down
  16. Maybe if you look at the trade value site and completely ignore the last 2 months of production... So last two months > crappy 2016, 2017, 2018 and the start of 2019....got it
  17. Bauer/Kipnis for Lutz/SHAW/Dubon/Ashby
  18. Dubon and Grisham for Smith is actually fair value, but i'd like to use Dubon as the 2nd piece in a Ray trade.
  19. Minor's numbers are way better than what he actually is. Sure his 2.73 ERA looks good, but he has a 3.82 FIP and 4.42 xFip -
  20. Trade for Will Smith, Mad Bum, Ken Giles and Marcus stroman
  21. I wouldn’t trade Burnes straight up for Thor. I think many think Burnes in the next couple of years becomes a TOR, so at best that’s a wash. There isn’t a chance in heck Stearns trades for this overrated hulk. Im high on Burnes too, but that's just crazy talk.
  22. Arcia/Lutz/Peralta/Turang/$10 mil for Syndergaard/Lagares
  23. Boyd's has a 6.03 ERA over his last 6 starts - Strike outs are there, but stating to get back to his career numbers
  24. 2015-current, .268 hitter average 35 hrs per 162 games.
