  1. Not to mention from people that worked for Menard's and spent time around him, he's a total piece of work with how he handles employees.
  2. The difference being one of them already made it to the Majors and the other has to continue to progress over 3 more stops just to get there. I'm as prospect focused as the next guy but I've seen a lot of top 10 org prospects flame out before they get to the show let alone top 30 types. I'm going to give Arnold the benefit of the doubt because in the meanwhile. If I'm wrong in the future I'll eat it at that point but I feel comfortable that I probably won't be.
  3. Probably why he said "if he had options"
  4. I said this when the opening first popped up, I can live with Weeks getting on the job training behind Murphy.
  5. Pat Murphy with Rickie Weeks going in training to replace him in a few years would work for me. I'm not at all opposed to Weeks outright either.
  6. I recognize that they are not the same thing but Pat Murphy was an extremely capable Head Coach at the collegiate level. Would have to know how the locker room feels about him but wouldn't be opposed to him in the short term while he grooms a successor.
  7. You can both recognize that you may have made the same choice and that it's a slap in the face of the fans of the team from the area you claim as your home. I promise they are not mutually exclusive thoughts.
  8. Yeah it literally means one person paid for one steak. That's why they always say don't buy the most expensive house in the neighborhood, just because you overpaid doesn't mean the house changes in actual market value and it doesn't mean the rest of the houses around you appreciate in value either.
  9. Wait I heard it's because we're owned by such a cheap bastard that we didn't blow up the market for Chris.
  10. Something like that, yeah. The second word definitely starts with Y.
  11. Well then call me basura because if I come across him in public I have 3 words prepared for him.
  12. Does he not? Can't imagine trying to stroll around Sendik's after this.
  13. Ok maybe it's an outdated metric, you keep alluding to some other metric that has Milwaukee middle of the road, can you explain clearly what it is? Assume many of us are essentially golden retrievers and spell it out in specifics for us.
  14. We're obviously all Brewers fans here but I'm not too big of a fan to admit that a trade of the Bucks for the Brewers is probably a disaster long term for the city.
  15. My first game of the season, up visiting from Dallas but I can confirm the crowd was ballistic all night, especially for Sal.
  16. Worked out pre draft in many cases and your leverage is whatever you can get. Lots of guys have turned down money, gone back to school, and damaged their draft stock (and leverage) in the process. Sometimes 'a bird in the hand' isn't a terrible philosophy to follow. It's not right for everyone though!
  17. The reason this is all being announced now is that they have come to a deal with Pratt right?!?
  18. It feels like this happens regularly. It used to be the Red Sox instead of the Braves though, Dodgers too.
  19. Boy if he turns out anything like Pete Alonso we've done ok for ourselves.
