  1. He was untouchable early for sure though, there weren't a *ton* of chances but there were some.
  2. I think if you look at the pitch overlay for 1-5 and then 6-8 you will see there was an opportunity to take a few walks and get him out of there earlier. Nothing against his stuff which was excellent.
  3. I hate to say it but this is the difference between experienced guys taking a professional approach and inexperienced guys widening the strike zone for a guy who already has A-ish stuff.
  4. The worst part is the last 3 innings he has gotten a little looser, if we had been taking our usual stance we could have gotten a few walks and maybe chased him. Hats off though, he's dicing us up.
  5. I'd be inclined to agree and it's obviously not apples to apples but the NBA owners changed the apron rules without securing a ton from the players, in spite of the fact that it is overly punishing of teams willing to spend. I never overlook the willingness of rich guys to try to protect themselves from having to over spend. Why wouldn't the Dodgers overpay more players to do similar? Everyone won't take it but some will and that ultimately can't be good for the television product long term, every sport gets sick of the dynasty eventually.
  6. The owners gotta do something about deferred money in the next negotiation, this is bad for the sport and it puts undue pressure on the other (poorer) owners in their markets.
  7. Frelick seemed pretty annoyed there. Beyond just it was my call type stuff.
  8. Fellas, I obviously want to win it all but it's found money from here for me.
  9. Strike 4 on their side too, now we're one up
  10. I was the same way as an athlete but I had/have a deeply unhealthy relationship with emotions, maybe he also needs therapy.
  11. So they think Miz is a big nerd but PCA seems like a legit emotional psychopath and that's ok???
  12. In the very real sense that it either will or won't happen, the math then checks out.
  13. Lol easy stuff for Grant, just like everyone knew it would be.
  14. Brutal missed call, ABS can't get here fast enough
  15. I would prefer to add through trade than FA at this point in our window, especially with the uncertainty of a potential work stoppage.
  16. I also hate when we have top of the industry broadcasters calling our games.
