  1. Shouldn’t we keep Willis on the bench then?
  2. Assuming it was meant for him…I think it was, but possibly it wasn’t.
  3. All I remember is people hyping up his percentage kicking extra points in college ignoring the fact college kickers off basically the goal line.
  4. I feel like Jordan Love is a worse version of Dak Prescott, honestly.
  5. I understood using a rookie kicker last year, no one expected to really compete. But the acknowledge that was a disaster, release the guy, and then proceed to go with some random rookie kicker. Made no sense.
  6. Call me crazy, but I wouldn’t mind seeing a good chunk of field time for Willis. With Love’s little to no mobility, I think Willis could be a useful weapon depending on the situation.
  7. The only playoff match-up that mattered was us versus no one in the WC round. We kinda blew that, so at that point I really don't care. We are going to have to win quite a few match-ups that aren't ideal to hoist the trophy. Might as well kick it off in the WC round.
  8. This kind of ignores a lot of important things though. #1 The 49ers were AWFUL when he would have been drafted. If you assume Rodgers progresses to 80% of himself before 2011 then he has a good 3-4 shots to win a SB. #2 The 49ers had an advantage in all these years in the fact they never had to back up a dump truck to pay an elite QB. Even without having to pay a QB a ton of money they crated for almost a half decade as a team. By the time their next window rolls around (2019), what effect would a massive QB salary of had on that team? #3 It also would have erased a lot of high drafting positions along the way too. The 2019 draft was a massive piece of their franchise. That doesn't happen without a revolving door at QB.
  9. Best player in baseball history, honestly.
  10. My biggest problem with Quay is the fact he REALLY blows some assignments, plays, and tackles sometimes. He just really costs us big sometimes. Many players aren't great, but never make huge mistakes. I can't say that about Quay.
  11. Is this the best Brewers team since 1982? And is this actually our best chance to win a World Series since that team? Their run differential of +135 is likely to be higher than any team since 1982 (assuming it nudges out 1992 of +136). Not necessarily trying to compare Brewers teams to each other, but compared to the league in any given year, has there been a better performing Brewers team since then? That run differential also is better than any team in baseball right now. I find this notable because in almost every other instance of a year where we thought we had a great chance (2021/2018/2011) there was at least one team that obliterated our run differential by double...usually many teams. The fact no team in baseball even has one higher than us right now is a big deal. Would be great to play well down the stretch, get one of the byes, and secure homefield in a World Series.
  12. I believe it is 8/120k for AWD. Looks like 2020s are easy to get for under $25k, though I have heard a better and (in theory) way more reliable battery started going in the ‘21s. So I suppose this may be a year off being a good plan for someone. You can find ‘21s, but they have around 80k miles $21k for a Model 3 with 40k miles or so. Seems a lot more logical for a normal consumer to find as a real option.
  13. Wouldn’t a Model 3 be the best used option? You could definitely find a used Model 3 for $25k or less…thus get a nice $4k or so tax credit. Assuming you can sneak under the income limitation.
  14. It is kinda dumb every EV comp has to be Tesla. Tesla is a luxury sedan and a Model Y has a $700 monthly payment assuming you put $4k down and assuming you have the tax liability to get the full tax credit. People comping a Tesla/Mercedes/Lexus don't really give a crud about saving $100 a month on maintenance. Telling the average person "Look! A Tesla is so much more affordable than a A-Class" is just kind of LOL level stuff. Article is kind of proof there really isn't a great EV option for the normal consumer. The best comps are the Lexus/Mercedes, but the Civic is actually what a cost-conscious consumer is buying. Thus, in the end, a gas-powered vehicle is still incredibly cheaper to buy/maintain.
  15. My first thought, why would you catch that at the 5 in this situation? Better to just pray it goes in the end zone and it probably does anyway. He had a shot to gain a quarter of the field.
  16. The Colts are insanely bad
  17. Crazy idea only down 10. Had they been down 17? Maybe..,
  18. Sure would be nice to see the Packers win against the Colts. Then just win one of the next three games and you are 2-2 without Love. That seems very realistic and doable.
  19. Technically an e-bike wouldn’t be allowed, no. I haven’t really seen it ever be an issue, probably because e-bikes are expensive and thus attract a crowd that rides respectively. Unlike you know…a moped or dirt biker rider would ride on a trail.
  20. They wisely dropped their terrible effort to force it to arbitration. Though something tells me the bad publicity will cost them more than the dude was even looking to sue for.
  21. Honestly, I am a little shocked Disney would even want to go down this route. Pretty gross look over a guy and a measly $50k lawsuit. Huge long term legal issue if they actually dismiss it based on a Disney+ free trial TOS agreement. Disney says man can't sue over wife's death because he agreed to Disney+ terms of service (msn.com)
  22. Lmao, clickbait at best. Braun hasn't played since 2020...and I am guessing he doesn't do 25% of the training someone would need to be doing just to try. Probably hasn't for years. I am sure he was happily waiting to be out of the spotlight ever since the PED fiasco. Now he just chills in Malibu with his family.
  23. It isn't a big deal if the car is fully electric. It is a problem when it is a hybrid. Because then it is a fuel pump AND battery/EV components. I think the belief is an EV is a lower cost of maintenance short and long term. Certainly, that is probably the case for the ownership tree until the battery goes. That is why I think it is all or nothing. Mixing the two into one vehicle isn't advantageous at all.
  24. Hybrids aren't that magical though. For people that don't live in a city and do a lot of highway driving there is virtually no value added. Especially these days when hybrids go for MSRP and have horrid incentives. You get some marginal MPG bump and spend $5k+ more for the car. You are losing money even at +10mpg. Plug-In hybrids are just as bad and the only way they aren't financially stupid is a massive federal tax credit. Hybrids are popular, but how many are actually coming out ahead on those purchases? Also, what happens long term when lower income people are forced to buy used cars with expensive battery packs? Will they become cheap enough we aren't causing financially strapped people to have $3k+ battery replacements on top of all the other things to fix on a car? One of the perks of ICE cars is the fact they are cheap to buy used and affordable to fix. Hybrids give you the best of both worlds...but it also gives you the worst of both worlds.
  25. Eventually teams will stop giving big money to SS's especially ones that aren't giving elite offense. The minors are now overflowing with middle infielders and there is no shortage. I think many teams are years behind the curve and are still stupidly giving big money like it is 2010 or something. Sub .800 offense from a SS is not as special as it once was. I wouldn't be shocked if Adames is the unfortunate start to teams not giving big money to SS's. Not sure I would predict under $100mil since he will hit FA at 29 at least...but I would not be shocked if he got notably under Swanson's figure.
