Charlie Morton tried short rest and looked terrible today. I don’t know why people are clamoring for an idea that is often bad and then be forced to do exactly the same in Game 5. That isn’t a winning recipe.

It fooled Ueck too. He said "fly ball to center field. ...." with no hint of excitement in his voice like he usually does on a deep drive, and then suddenly I think he realized Rowdy got all of it cuz he did the "heeeeey, get up ball!" bit Ueck is a wreck these days…sad to see. Can we please win a WS for that man.

Where was this mentioned? I have a hard time believing this was true. The White Sox game was over like at 10 P.M. Would MLB have changed the noon Brewers/Braves game on that short notice to fans? Many would have woken up Monday to news that they were getting a game 3 hours later. MLB.com show all hypothetical game time changes on their postseason schedule page.

Yelich should not be playing OF next year. He sucks in just about every way. Makes me wish we still had Braun running around.

We'll see. I understand the strategy to avoid a road game 5 vs. Burnes at all costs. But if Morton gets lit up in the NLCS there will be some questions to ask... That they played a decent offense finally?

Morton hasn’t even looked that good. If our hitters were normal/hot right now I have no doubt he would not have made it 3 innings without 2-4 runs given up.

Yup, his OBP predictably fell off a cliff once he continue to be terrible. Pitchers can just attack him…especially with breaking pitches he can’t do damage with.

He was a dead duck once he turned around and started running to third. No point stopping him. Might as well pray Yelich drops it and you score on it.
