  1. I get it is a noon game….but seriously, I can hear crickets.
  2. Peralta once again locks it down after an iffy situation unfolds. Guy has been clutch today.
  3. Cain missed catching a similar ball in Game 1 NLCS 2018…we survived that missed catch.
  4. They are dumb. The announcer just referred to that screaming liner as 60mph off the bat to describe it being hard hit. Does he not know how hard balls come off the bat? 60mph would be really dang slow. I think you misheard him. He mentioned 'That's baseball...liner caught, but Rileys 60 mph ball was a hit'. Something to that effect. I must have gotten lost in his stutter when he had an awkward pause trying to explain it.

  6. It appears even nationally televised postseason games can’t find a decent variety of advertisements to air. Guess it isn’t just an FSWI thing.
  7. How dare someone have different expectations for a guy with a $200mil contract that incredibly limits how much money we have to fill other positions on the team. Brewer fans keep using this line as an excuse, and it is complete and utter ********. resources are whatever Attanasio decides to spend. If he wanted to spend $200 million on payroll for a year he could. He just chooses not to...that is NOT the same thing as having limited resources. You keep saying this, but never provide any of the Brewers financial information you have to come to your conclusion or any of the other advanced baseball financial knowledge you have.
  8. One of the biggest baserunning blunders I have ever seen. Terrible idea to tag and try to get second. There was zero shot at that ball going home. It was clearly going to go to second and didn’t even take a good throw to get him out.
  9. This offense is so pathetic these days I am basically cheering for them to make the pitcher average 15 pitches an inning. I considered the 2nd inning a success when he threw his 30th pitch.

  11. Feels like we are going to need very timely hits bunched together or a big fly with guys on. Don’t have a ton of confidence in the offense putting a lot of guys on.
  12. Or rolls over it…he certainly won’t get it up in the air.
  13. Yup, today looks just like the last two games. Woo….
  14. The fact Yelich went from an MVP to a guy pitchers just pump breaking pitches to because he cannot hit them well is kind of unbelievable. But yah, bat him third.
  15. That article leaves out the most essential piece of why the pitch clock worked at Low-A. Pretty sure the higher levels have had one for years and it didn’t make anything better…games actually grew even longer. Why? Because the higher levels allowed pitchers to step off and it would get reset. Basically it was 100% pointless. The Low-A pitch clock worked because stepping off counted as a pick-off attempt. Notable because they also had a rule limiting two pick off attempts per AB. A third pick off attempt would incur a balk. So with guys on base the pitchers were following the pitch clock because it was pretty essential for them to do so. Didn’t watch a game, but I am guessing the pitch clock was somewhat worthless with guys not on base because there is no one to pick-off…thus no pick-off attempts. So basically the only way to get the pitch clock to really work is to also put in the pick-off limit rule…something I think would be way less attractive to people around the league.
  16. Nothing like having the Holiday off. This game is the one that really worried me going into the series. Freddy just hasn’t been that great the last two months and he always seems like the prime candidate to implode. Ian Anderson was really good in the 2020 postseason, hope that doesn’t carry over to this year.
  17. Are you referring to Zack Godley getting called for interference with Isan Diaz running on the grass to 1B? Ahh yes…Isan Diaz. I knew it was a former Brewer.
  18. The rules on running to first are largely due to lefties like Grandal. In many cases a lefty can have a bit of a looping run to first if they are in front of a pitch. However, in the Grandal AB his swing did not cause such a path. It was pretty intentional to make the looping run to first that he did. I can’t remember who it was, but the Brewers had a similar situation this year that everyone cried about for days. The big difference in that scenario though was the fact the batter did end up pretty far in front of home because of his swing…thus causing a run to first that was much more by/on the grass. That players run to first was still fairly straight after he got going. I don’t recall the 45 foot rule being mentioned…so I don’t know if that is actually a thing. I will say I don’t think the point of the rule is to allow things like Grandal did. Astros fans can cry all they want, but I would expect every player in baseball to try the same if they have good awareness and are smart. It really isn’t much different than sliding into a base to break up a DP. If anything be mad at the umps for blowing the call.
  19. It seemed pretty obvious from Week 1 something off the field (at least the game day field) wasn’t right. PC has been dodging and/or totally changing the subject when asked question about Berger.
  20. Speaking of commercials…I cannot stand the advertisement for Siri that is like, “Who leads the NFL in TDs this year?” *Insert awkward silence for 5 seconds with no answer to the question. Why don’t they just pick some record that Siri can then answer as part of the advertisement. Siri giving you silence with no answer doesn’t seem like a great advertisement of her abilities.
  21. I believe I read the Braves has the worst home record of any postseason team.
  22. Cowboys/Giants comes back from a commercial break and Daniel Jones has been carted off the field and the Giants scored a TD, all missed during the commercial break. Solid job FOX.
